For students, writing an essay on ‘My Favourite Toy’ is a really fun activity! Kids and toys are inseparable. Every kid loves toys, whether they are two or 16 years old. Toys are their first friends. From their birth, kids have seen and played with toys. Though as they grow, their choice of toys keeps changing as per their age and nature. But, their passion and love for toys never cease. So, writing an essay on their favourite toy is a pleasure for them. However, young students sometimes struggle with sentence formation or structuring of an essay. Here, we have interesting long and short essays on my favourite toy to help them learn.

Kids can talk a lot about their favourite toys. However, they need guidance and orientation when it comes to writing. If you have a query on how to write an essay on ‘my favourite toy’, here are some key points that will help them:

  • Write a brief introduction about toys.
  • Write about your favourite toy.
  • Explain why it is your favourite toy.
  • Briefly conclude with its importance in your life.

Toy cars are one of the first gifts most kids get, and they are most of the kids’ all-time favourites. Writing simple and short lines are the best way to express a topic in junior classes. Here are a few lines to help write a toy essay for classes 1 and 2:

  • Toys are the beloved play objects and companions of kids.
  • Like all other kids, I love to play with many types of toys.
  • Though, my favourite toys are cars.
  • My family and friends always gift me many cars on my birthday.
  • I have several toy cars of different colours and models.
  • Some are models of Ferrari, some of Toyota and a few of Maruti.
  • I even have a remote-controlled toy car.
  • This toy car is red and looks like a real Porsche car.
  • My parents gifted me this car on my birthday this year.
  • I love all my toy cars.

Young kids like to play with dolls. So, when asked to write an essay on their favourite toy, most kids choose to write about dolls. Here is my favourite toy doll essay for classes 1, 2 and 3.

My favourite toys are my dolls. I have many other toys, but I love playing with my dolls the most. I have many dolls gifted to me by my parents and family. My favourite doll is a cute little Barbie I got on my last birthday from my elder sister. I have named my Barbie Masha after my favourite cartoon character Masha from the “Masha and the Bear” cartoon series. She is a beautiful doll with blue eyes and long golden hair. I dress her in different clothes every day. Together with my friends, we spend hours playing with our dolls. I love Masha the most.

My favourite toy barbie doll essay is a famous essay topic for kids. But they sometimes may not be able to construct sentences and articulate their emotions well on the topic. Here is a short essay on my favourite toy doll for kids for reference:

Barbie is my favourite toy doll, and I named her Cinderella, as I find her as beautiful as Cinderella. She has blue eyes, fair skin and long golden hair. I got her for my 5th birthday. I even have a beautiful home for her with many rooms, and she sleeps in a room with beautiful flowers. Cinderella has many dresses and shoes for every occasion. During summers she wears shorts and t-shirts, and during winters she wears jeans with jackets. But her favourite dress is a cute red coloured gown. This gown she wears for special occasions like a party. Sometimes I style her hair in different hairstyles. My parents gifted me, Skipper and Ken, on my last birthday. I play with Cinderella, Skipper, and Ken, imagine many stories and make them act in them. Sometimes I suppose they all are students, and I am their teacher. At times my friends also come home with their dolls, and we play with all our dolls. But I enjoy playing alone with Cinderella the most; she is my most precious toy.

Every child adores Teddy bears. These cuddly cuties are playmates of every child. But writing a long essay on the topic sometimes becomes challenging for kids as they cannot find the right expression to portray their thoughts. Here is my favourite toy teddy bear essay for class 3 students:

We all have been playing with toys since we are born. As infants, we had toys with sound and lights. Then came the block toys, cars and dolls. As we became older, we started playing with guns, building blocks and remote cars. Then come the teenage years, where our gadgets become our toys. However, one toy that never changes and is the eternal companion of every child is the teddy bear. We always have that one special teddy bear when we are infants, toddlers, children, teenagers and even when we are twenty.

I also like to have numerous toys. On my birthdays, festivals and other occasions, everyone gifts me toys. I have toy cars, puzzles, trucks, balls, robots, etc. Still, the toy I play the most with is my teddy bear. His name is Goofy. He is four feet tall, brown and with blue eyes. Goofy is my first gift from my grandmother, and she bought him for me on my first birthday. That makes him extra special to me. However, I love Goofy because he is cute, soft and cuddly. Goofy stays with me and sleeps with me. And on Sundays, he bathes with me. I cuddle with him when I feel scared, can’t sleep, or sad. He listens to all my stories attentively and hugs me when I hug him. Goofy and I play a lot. Sometimes it is just two of us, and sometimes my other teddy bears are also there. When we are not playing, Goofy sits in the corner of my bed with other teddy bears resting on his lap. When I study, Goofy sits quietly and waits for me to play with him. My dog, Fluffy, a cute white Pomeranian, loves playing with Goofy. When I come from school, sometimes I see Fluffy sitting with Goofy waiting for me. Then we all play together. I love Goofy a lot. He is my best playmate and a cherished gift from my grandmother.

When your child writes a composition on my favourite toy, they learn many things from it. The most important benefit of essay writing is the improvement in the linguistic skills of your child. Your child improves their sentence formation, and vocabulary and learns how to structure essays. They also understand their feelings for their favourite toys and learn to express them. They deeply inspect their feelings for their toys and the value attached to them. Your child gets the chance to visualise their connection to their favourite toy and write about it. It helps in boosting their confidence in creative writing.

Writing this essay unleashes the creativity of young students. As they think and write about their favourite toys, they improve their language and creative skills. Later they can use these learnings to write essays on other topics.

I was only four years old at the time, and I remember feeling overwhelmed by the selection of toys available. But as soon as I saw the teddy bear, I knew it was the one.

From that day on, my teddy bear became my constant companion. I carried it with me everywhere I went, from the playground to the grocery store. It slept with me every night, and I hugged it tightly whenever I felt scared or anxious.

My Favourite Toy Essay

My Favourite Toy Essay in English

Things like puzzles, board games and pictures can contribute to child development. What do you recommend providing to a child for their development and why? Give details and examples.

Toys are more than just playthings, though, and while they should be fun, they should be age appropriate, stimulating and safe. In my opinion, toys provided to a child should be kept simple and less modern. This essay will discuss some suggestions and recommendations using examples to demonstrate points.

Firstly, a simple toy that allows a child to explore and to use more of their senses and imagination greatly helps in the young ones’ growth and development. This is mainly because it lets the child take charge of the play situation and is the one directing the action. For example, Child Psychologists from USA recommends building blocks like Legos for a 5-6 year-old child which allows them to be creative and spontaneous. Therefore, keeping a toy or a play simple enables a child to discover and learn more.

Secondly, giving a child modern playthings like gadgets or computers should be limited. This is because these technologies affect child’s attention span, instead of learning a certain skill; they are more drawn on what they see in a screen and blinking lights in the screens, thus impeding the learning process. For example, a study made by Psychologists in UK reported that children exposed to televisions, computers and gadgets at an early age are mostly hyperactive and had difficulty in concentrating. Hence, it is recommended not to rely too much with these tools and instruments.

In conclusion, parents should be cautious when buying and giving toys to their children and should remember that the simpler the toy is the more educational and beneficial to their young ones. While we live in a computer world doesn’t mean it will give a higher probability and chance to produce a more intelligent individual.

Every child has a favorite toy. Whether it be a bright red racer or a plastic playhouse, to each his own world of imagination. Personally, since I was just a small child, I owned a baby lamb which I kindly named BaeBae. He meant the world to me. I refused to go anywhere without my little lamb by my side. Every summer, our family would drive up to our lake house, something my family had built before my sister and I were born. Naturally, BaeBae tagged along.

The desert air normally blisters in the summer heat. However this evening, the air rang cool. I was sitting tucked away in our cluttered yet bare garage in a neon green plastic playset. I was getting too big to tuck my knees under the table comfortably so they hung over to the right, crossed at the ankles. BaeBae was balanced gently on my lap as I listened to my parents watching the T.V. from the other room. The floating sound of muffled music filled the air like mist after a warm rainy day. Not even a few minutes later my sister peered through the door to see what I was up too.

“You must be joking!” she chuckled, removing herself from the doorway. “You don’t even fit at the table anymore.”

“So what?” I refuted, too busy playing to look up at her. “ I’m not hurting anyone.”

“Chloe,” she looked at me with pleading eyes, “you’re too old for this. Too old to play with dolls. His name is BaeBae for heaven's sake! What would people think of you?” I was only five or six at the time but her words echoed throughout my head like a broken siren, calling my name and engraving into my skull.

“I don’t know… He should be Brian now. More grown-up.”

She laughed. She did not like the name and truthfully, neither did I. But, I had no intention of seeming childish.

As the years dragged on I slowly stopped playing with Brian all together. Not because I didn’t like him anymore, but because my perspective started to shift. If I was going to grow up I had to act like a grown-up. Eventually, we even sold the lake house and stopped traveling over the summer. What was there to see? Buildings and structures seemed to lose their individuality. They blended together with the same blocky walls and stained glass that mirrored each other tenfold. Sure, they had their perks here and there, but in the end, they were all the same.

Brian was kept in my closet. Nothing too noticeable, but open enough for just me to see him clearly. His worn-down fur soaked and brimming with leftover love from a young child. His eyes, small and calm with a soothing reassurance to them, glinted when hit by the light. Every so often on a particularly difficult day, I would take him down from his resting place and look at him with melancholy.

As the time kept marching forward I kept growing and growing, with Brian still tucked away for only me to see. Through these years of in and out of the closet, I started to learn. Not just about science or math, but about humanity and society. Once again my perspective started to shift, but this time, at my own doing. On one extraordinarily average day, I decided to pay Brian a visit, it had been a while after all. But this felt different. To my surprise, instead of being greeted with melancholy, my heart bloomed with admiration. After a few minutes, and even more surprisingly, I opened the closet door with BaeBae still in hand. Fresh air seeped into my lungs as I stepped closer and closer towards my bed, each step seemingly creating new sounds to fit my new ears, new sights to fit my new eyes.

As though he were a doll made of glass that could shatter at any wrong movement, I laid him carefully on my messy overthrown sheets for all to see. What was there left to hide? What does it matter if someone were to see him? He can’t hurt anyone, nor can he belong to anyone else. He was mine from the start. I had the choice to let people see him at the risk of being called immature. It was my choice all along.

Although I would have never written anything about my stuffed childhood friend a few years ago, I now know that to hide what might be viewed as embarrassing or childish to someone else might be seen as something of a sanctuary to you. If you live a life cast away into what you think people want, you will never feel fulfilled. You are the only one who decides what you are and how you live. The world can be cruel. But to those who know and accept who they are, it evolves into a vast playground molded by pure, unfiltered, childlike imagination.

My Favourite Toy Essay for Kids & Children

June 7, 2018 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

Kids and the toys are synonymous to each other. Every parent gets their kids toys, irrespective of their social and economic status. A couple whether rich or poor wants lot of toys for their little kids as toys are kid`s best companion. Kids grow with number of toys.

Toys could be from the genre of education that may include the number blocks

ABC Block

Or alphabets printed blocks

Alphabets Printed blocks

Or for recreation purpose

Knitting

It`s said the more you see things the more faster you learn them. So every child`s first school begins at home with the building blocks. Such blocks are foundation building of kid’s education.

Children learn shapes, names of objects and colours from the toys easily.  Toys don’t make teaching and learning burdensome.

Every child has few favourite toys from their chest full of toys.  Parents and children both are equally fond of collecting toys. The basic difference is in the usage of toys by them.

Parents collect for the pleasure of kids and kids collect them as its their age`s passion. Toys are kids’ childhood memory which if they preserve for later years of their life. These objects give reason to cherish.

Every toy has some or the other story attached to them. Sometimes the reason why parent bought certain toy has whole story behind it. Sometimes whims or impulsiveness of parents led to beautiful acquisitions for kids toys.

Sometimes toys are memoir for kids from foreign trips. Sometimes toys become status symbol and flaunting them among peers become matter of pride for parents too.

Ranges of toys too vary from few rupees to thousands of rupees. According to spending capacity of parents’ toys gets place in homes. Richer get into buying hi-end toys for kids and poor people buy toys of nominal cost.

But the motive behind buying toys is usually same for all section of society. Parents want to please their kids. Smiles of kids are the prime motive behind every purchase parents make.

Purchases of toys made my parents are guided by various reasons. Display, child’s wishes, prices, online reviews, and word-of-mouth are few floating reasons.  Buying latest Fad toys are parent’s first choice as far as gifting is concerned.

Different kids have liking for different kinds of toys. Not all the toys are equally adorable to kids. Right from the childhood, kids have different liking level for toys. Most liked toys often come on the surface of chest of toys.

Art lover kids love crayons, paint, colours, decorative materials and many such things as toys. This is because they have inclination for crafting and making new things. Kids having liking for science likes mechanical toys.  Such toys groom their skills, though unknowingly, at that level.

Kids playing with toys

The material used in toys making have gone under revolution. Earlier the wooden toys were most opted choice because of their durability. But with time plastic, metal, rubber and soft fibre replaced the bulky material. Toys with softer edges and super finishing are most desired ones for toddlers.

My parents too have brought me number of toys since my childhood. Many of those I still own as momentum of my childhood memories. Each toy has different story attached to it. Each one is special for me as they are my parents’ love wrapped in physical form.

Among them my favourite are two. One is connect four and other one is my teddy bear which can be worn in hand as a hand puppet too.

My parents have bought me connect four game when I was five years old. Since then it has been my favourite till to date. I still remember how I learned to play it. How my parents encouraged me to play and win the game is a journey in itself. This game taught me colour co-ordination when I was kid.

Wining every round became my passion with passage of time. I still remember lots of incidences when I used to have quarrels with my friends because of my game board. I never use to let anyone touch my game board. This game made me leader of my gang of friends.

Everyone use to seek my permission for playing on it but most of the time I use to refuse everyone. I was supposed to be one of the partners, every time the game was to be played.

Gradually every passion takes back stage sooner or later. So did my passion for playing connect four faded away too. My friends started ignoring me and my game board because I have become very arrogant and rude with them.

My friend’s avoidance hurt me a lot and I discussed with my parents about their attitude. Then my parent guided me with the fact that it was not their fault.

The main culprit was me myself who have broken code of conduct with friends for some toy. I realized my mistake and apologized in front of my friends. Thereafter I learn a very profound lesson in life. Things should be collected and people are to be love and not the vice versa.

Later on my parents got me a very pretty small teddy bear. The unique aspect of my toy was that it could be worn as a hand puppet and could be played with. I use to carry my companion everywhere I use to go.

My gang of friends use to enjoy with it a lot. It was special because my parent got it from their trip to Malaysia when we had gone there on our family vacations.

The trip was itself memorable. Whenever I use to pick up my toy from my cupboard of toys everyone used to recall the entire dramatic episode that had happened. I have got locked in mall`s lift where we bought this from. And after half an hour rushes that I was able to come out.
