Research design and methodology.
This chapter discusses and explains the research design, research participants, research locale, research instruments, and data gathering procedure, statistical treatment and interpretation of data gathered.
Research Design / Method
This study used a quantitative type of research using descriptive method to determine The Effects of Different Types of COVID-19’ Vaccines among Frontline Health Workers in Daet, Camarines Norte. This is a quantitative survey type method of research. Survey questionnaires was made available through online such as Google Form or it will be provided in a hard copy for those respondents who will prefer to be interviewed in a face-to-face basis provided that researchers will follow the minimum health standards set forth by the Department of Health. The correlational method was applied in this research in the analysis of the significant relationship between profile of the respondents and the effects of COVID-19 vaccine.
Respondent of the Study
The respondents of the study are the Frontline Health Workers of Camarines Norte. The study was randomly selected ten respondents from each early adulthood, early middle age, and late middle age to each COVID-19 vaccines such as Aztrazenica,
Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnsons & Johnsons, for a total of 50 respondents in Daet, Camarines Norte.
Sampling Technique Method
Simple Random Sampling were used. Simple random sampling involves choosing a smaller subset of a larger population. This is done randomly. But the catch here is that there is an equal chance that any of the samples in the subset will be chosen. Researchers tend to choose this method of sampling when they want to generalize about the larger population (Horton, 2022). The researcher obtained sample population from different Hospitals and Rural Health Unit around Daet, Camarines Norte.
Research Instruments
The researcher employed Survey questionnaires available online and hard copies that was used as the primary research instrument to gather data from the
Respondents. In addition, the researcher will also use laptop, cellphones, and paper and ball pen during the conduct of the study as part of research tools.
The research instrument contains 3 parts. Part I is about the profile of the respondents. Part two consists of types of covid 19 vaccine, and part 2 is about the control measures.
It is dealt in studying populations, the researcher considered this method to determine the performance of the respondents in each indicator. It will be used to know the effects of COVID-19 vaccines received by the respondent or the statement of the problem number three and what are the measures done by the respondents in adding adverse reaction of COVID-19 vaccines which indicates on the statement of problem number four.
This tool is the position or level where it will use to identify the intervention can be proposed to enhance the awareness on the effects of different COVID 19’ Vaccine that specify on the statement of the problem number five.
