Run for student council and become the treasurer. Get a score in the 95th percentile or higher on your SAT or ACT. Earn at least an A- in all your classes. The mythical implication here is that the "Stanford scorecard" grades you based on your weakest area, so you want to eliminate all weaknesses.

2. Keep an idea journal. Now that you've reviewed different Stanford supplemental essay examples and have read Stanford essays that worked, it's time to get brainstorming. Essays are really important, especially for a school like Standford. The uni w/ one of the lowest acceptance rates in the nation. But I WAS able to get into to Standford as well.
