ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੌਕੀਨ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੌਕ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਕਮ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੈਸੇ ਜਾਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੁਫਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਟੈਂਪਾਂ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੋਗ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸਟੈਂਪਾਂ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਦੋ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਧੀਆ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ, ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ, ਜਰਮਨੀ, ਰੂਸ, ਚੀਨ, ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ, ਸ੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ, ਨੇਪਾਲ, ਅਰਬ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੋਹਰ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਟੈਂਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਦੀ ਬਦਲੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਸੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਥੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਭੇਜਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗੀਨ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ, ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ, ਭੂਗੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਮਬੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁਫਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੇਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਸਟੈਂਪਾਂ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਵਿਚ ਖਰਚ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੀੜ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਟੇਲੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਫਿਲਲੇਟਿਸਟ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਫਿਲੈਟੇਲਿਸਟ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਭੂਮਿਕਾ- ਭਾਰਤ ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੀ ਜਨਮ-ਭੂਮੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤਵਾਸੀ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਕਈ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ।ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਨਮ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਵੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਣਖੀਲੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਉਂ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ-

“ਇਹ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ, ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਖੌਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਮਰਨ ਥੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦੇ। ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕਰਨ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਪਰ ਟੈਂ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਬਦਿਕ ਅਰਥ- ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਬਦਿਕ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ “ਪੰਜ ਆਬ’ ਭਾਵ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਤਲੁਜ, ਰਾਵੀ, ਬਿਆਸ, ਚਨਾਬ ਤੇ ਜਿਹਲਮ ਪੰਜ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।ਦੇਸ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਭਾਗ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ 13-14 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਆਏ ਤੇ 18 ਜਾਂ 19 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ। 1966 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਵੰਡ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਫਿਰ ਕੁਝ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਖੇਤਰਫਲ ਲਗਪਗ 5028 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬੜਾ ਗੌਰਵਮਈ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਵੇਦ ਰਚੇ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ, ਪੀਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ-ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਖੇਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ- ਮੇਰਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਣਕ, ਚਾਵਲ, ਮੱਕੀ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਅਨਾਜ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਬੜੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਹਨ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਜਾਊ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਅਤਿਕਥਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਵੀਰ-ਬਹਾਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ- ਮੇਰਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜੇਤੂ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪੋਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋੜ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਨਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਾਭਾ, ਊਧਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਾ ਲਾਜਪਤ ਰਾਏ ਆਦਿ ਦੇਸ-ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਰਹੇਗਾ।

ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਤੀ- ਮੇਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਛੂਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਲਾਮਾਲ ਹੈ। ਦਸਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਇਆ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ, ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬਾਬਾ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਆਦਿ ਮਹਾਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿੱਜੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਹਨ।

ਮੁੱਖ ਨਾਚ- ਗਿੱਧਾ ਤੇ ਭੰਗੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨਾਚ ਹਨ। ਢੋਲ ‘ਤੇ ਡੱਗਾ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਥਿਰਕਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਗਿੱਧਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵਿਆਹ-ਸ਼ਾਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਭੰਗੜੇ, ਗਿੱਧੇ ਖੂਬ ਧੁੰਮਾਂ ਮਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਚ ਅੱਜ-ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮਣਾ ਖੱਟ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਂਤਕ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ।

ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਪਾਰੀ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਵਗਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਮੇਲਾ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਨਹਿਰ ਜਾਂ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਕੁਝ ਗਾਇਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੱਗਬਾਜ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਚ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਉਮਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬੈਲ-ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਦੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਲੂਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ। ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ : ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਉਮਰ, ਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਰੁਚਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲੋਕ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀ ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਜ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਮਦੀਆਂ-ਵਿਗਸਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹਰੇਕ ਜਾਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਾਗ ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਖੇਡ-ਸਮਗਰੀ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਗੀਕਰਨ : ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਮਰ, ਲਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ।ਜਿਵੇਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲਾਟੂ, ਭੰਬੀਰੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣਾ, ਆਕੜ-ਬਾਕੜ, ਬੰਟੇ ਖੇਡਣ ਆਦਿ।ਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਜ਼ੋਰ-ਅਜ਼ਮਾਈ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਕਬੱਡੀ, ਮੁਗਦਰ ਫੇਰਨੇ, ਮੁੰਗਲੀਆਂ ਫੇਰਨੀਆਂ ਆਦਿ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੰਡਾਂ, ਤਾਸ਼ ਖੇਡਣਾ, ਸ਼ਤਰੰਜ, ਚੌਪਟ ਆਦਿ ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਮਰ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ | ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੀਟੇ, ਟਾਹਣਾ, ਕੋਟਲਾ-ਛਪਾਕੀ, ਖਿੱਦੋ, ਗੁੱਡੀ ਫੂਕਣੀ, ਕਿੱਕਲੀ, ਛਟਾਪੂ ਆਦਿ ਹਨ।

ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਲੋਕ-ਖੇਡਾਂ (ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਨਣ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ :

• ਕਬਡੀ : ਕਬਡੀ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੰਮੀ ਕਬੱਡੀ, ਛੋਟੀ ਜਾਂ ਜੱਫ਼ਲ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਆਦਿ। ਲੰਮੀ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਲਈ ਪੰਜ-ਛੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਆਹਮੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਦੋ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਲਾ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ‘ਕਬੱਡੀ-ਕਬਡੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਝਕਾਨੀਆਂ। ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਬੱਡੀ-ਕਬਡੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹਦਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਮ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਵੀ ਲਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ, ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਕਬੱਡੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਜੱਫਲ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਪਾਉਣ ਆਏ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਜੱਫਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਬੱਡੀ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਫਾ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ ਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਜੱਫਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

• ਗੁੱਲੀ-ਡੰਡਾ : ਗੁੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਡਾ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੜ ਕੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਟੋਆ/ਰਾਬ ਪੁਟ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੋ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵਾਰੀ ਪੁੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਬ ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਡੰਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਬ ਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਡੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਝੰਡੇ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
• ਖਿੱਦੋ-ਖੂੰਡੀ : ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜ-ਸੱਤ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਖੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਖੁੰਡੀਆਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਖਲੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਾਕੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਖੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਦਬਾ ਕੇ ਖਿਦੋ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਗੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਖਿਦੋ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਖਿਦੋ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਫੁੰਡਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਫੰਡ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਖਿਦੋ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਖੁੱਤੀ ਮੱਲ ਕੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਾਂਭੇ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਖੁੱਤੀ ਮੱਲੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ । ਕਿਸੇ ਇਕ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਤੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨੇ ਖਿਦੋ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਖੁੱਡੀ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ । ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਹੁਣ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
• ਰੱਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ: ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਮੋਟਾ ਰੱਸਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਧੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸੇ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਧੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਆਹਮਣੇ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੱਸਾ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਟੀਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਰੱਸਾ ਖਿੱਚ ਲਵੇ, ਉਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
• ਲੁਕਣ-ਮੀਚੀ: ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਛੋਟੇ-ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਮਨ-ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਢਕ ਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਲੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਹਟਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਵਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
• ਕੋਟਲਾ-ਛਪਾਕੀ: ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਬੜੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਤੇ ਕਸਰਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੋਲ ਘੇਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਰੜਾ (ਕੱਪੜੇ ਦਾ ਵੱਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਫੜ ਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ-ਚੁਫੇਰੇ ਕੋਟਲਾ-ਛਪਾਕੀ ਜੁੰਮੇ ਰਾਤ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਆਈ ਹੈ ਬਈ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਵੇਖੇ, ਉਹਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਤ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਆਈ ਹੈ ਬਈ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਲਕੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਕੋਰੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਪਿਛੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਚੱਕਰ ਕੱਟਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਚੱਕਰ ਕੱਟਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉੱਥੇ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਤੱਕ ਰੱਖੇ ਕੋਰੜੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੋਰੜਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਏ ਕਿ ਕੋਰੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਕੋਰੜਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਪਿੱਠੂ ਗਰਮ : ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜ-ਸੱਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਠੀਕਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਗੇਂਦ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜ-ਸੱਤ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਕੋਲ ਗੇਂਦ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਠੀਕਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ-ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੇਂਦ ਵਾਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਠੀਕਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੱਦ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਦੌੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਗੱਦ ਵਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਕੋਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗੱਦ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੇਂਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ‘ਤੇ ਗੇਂਦ ਵੱਜ ਜਾਵੇ, ਠੀਕਰੀਆਂ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
• ਛਟਾਪੁ: ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖੇਡੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਚੌਰਸ ਡੱਬਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਛੇ ਖਾਨੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਨ। ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਠੀਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਗਲੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਠੀਕ ਜਾਂ ਪੈਰ ਲਾਈਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਉਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵਾਰੀ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਵੀ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

9 ਗੀਟੇ-ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ : ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਵੀ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖੇਡੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਟੀ ਆਦਿ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ। 4ਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਗੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਖੇਡਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੋਂਦ ਜਾ ਗੀਟਾ ਹੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਇਕ ਜਾਂ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਗੁਦੇ ਜਾ ਗੀਟਾ ਕਾਬੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਖੇਡ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਣ ਆਉਣ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਠੇ ਹੱਥ ‘ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਫਿਰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣਾਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਆਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਵੀ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

• ਬਾਰਾਂ ਟਾਹਣੁ : ਧਰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਡੱਬਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ-ਬਾਰਾਂ ਖਾਨੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿਰ ਦੋ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ-ਬਾਰਾਂ ਟਾਹਣੂ ਜੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਖ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਖਾਨਾ ਖਾਲੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਪੁੱਗਣ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਟਾਹਣ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਟਾਹਣ ਦੇ ਅਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਘਰ ਖਾਲੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਟਾਹਣੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਾਹਣੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਖੇਡ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
• ਅੰਡੀ-ਛੜੱਪਾ: ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਹਮੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੀ ਦੋ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੇਟਵੇਂ ਦਾਅ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਖੂਹੀ ਅਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਰੋ-ਵਾਰੀ ਟੱਪਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਮੀ ਛਾਲ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਫਿਰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਠਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਗਿੱਠਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਟੱਪਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

പ്രകൃതിയെ ഉപാസിക്കുന്നതാണ് ചിലർക്കും രസം. പുലരിയുടെ യും സന്ധ്യയുടെയും മാസ്മരദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ കണ്ടാസ്വദിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഇക്കു ട്ടർക്ക് ഇഷ്ടം. മറ്റു ചിലർക്ക് ഒഴിവുവിനോദം തീറ്റയാണ്. വല്ലതുമൊക്കെ സ്വയം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയോ വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നാ ഹോട്ടലുകളിൽച്ചെന്നോ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. തീറ്റ ഹോബി ദോഷമാണ്. അമിതാഹാരം ശാരീരിക പ്രശ്നമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. സ്കൂൾ അടച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ വീടുകളിലെത്തുന്ന കുട്ടികളുടെ പ്രധാന ഹോബി ഇതാണ്. ടി.വി.യുടെ മുൻപിൽ കാർട്ടൂൺ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് കൊറിക്കുകയും കുടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത് സമയം കള യുന്നു. ഫലമോ അമിതഭാരം. പിന്നെ അതിനുള്ള ചികിത്സയും.

ഇത്തരം പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കു പുറമേ മറ്റൊന്നുകൂടി നമുക്ക് ഹോബി യുടെ ഭാഗമാക്കാം. അത് കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ള ഒത്തുചേരലാണ്. അതി രാവിലെ ജോലിക്കുപോയി മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്ന രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ മക്കൾക്ക് ഇന്ന് അപരിചിതരാണ്. അവർ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ കാണുന്നത് വേലക്കാ രിയെയോ മറ്റോ ആകാം. ഈ തിരക്കിൽ ഭാര്യയും ഭർത്താവും മക്കളും മറ്റു കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും പരസ്പരം മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ ജീവിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ കുടുംബശൈഥില്യങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രധാന കാരണമാണിത്. ഇതിനു പരിഹാരമായി ഈ ഒത്തുചേരൽ നമുക്ക് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താം. പരസ്പരം അറിയുന്നിടത്താണ് കുടുംബം ഇമ്പമുള്ളതാകുന്നത്.

നഗരവത്കരണത്തിന്റെയും വ്യവസായവത്കരണത്തിന്റെയും ഫല മായ തിരക്ക് മാനുഷികമൂല്യങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നു. ആർക്കും ആരോടും താത്പര്യമില്ല. ആരും ആരെയും കാത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നില്ല. പണം മാത്രമാണ് ഏക ലക്ഷ്യം.

ഹോബികൾ മാനസികവും ശാരീരികവുമായ ആശ്വാസമാണ് നമുക്കു നൽകുന്നത്. അത് നമ്മുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ കൂടുതൽ ഉദ്ദീ പിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മനസ്സിനെ ശാന്തവും ആരോഗ്യകരവുമാക്കുന്നു. നല്ല ആരോഗ്യം ശരീരത്തിനു മാത്രമല്ല മനസ്സിനും വേണം. കരുത്തുള്ള ശരീ രത്തിൽ കരുത്തുള്ള മനസ്സുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന വിചാരം പൂർണ്ണമായും ശരി യല്ല. മനസ്സിനു വേണ്ടത് ആഹാരം മാത്രല്ല വിനോദവും ആയാസരഹി തവുമായ ഒരന്തരീക്ഷമാണ്. ഹോബികൾ ഇതിനുള്ള സാഹചര്യമാണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്.
