.آج مجھے جس موضوع پر لبكشائی کرنے کا موقع ملا ہے وہ    6 ستمبر ۱۹۶۵    ہے

ہر ایک ذرےکی دلکشی میں د‍‍‍‌مک رہا ہے ضمیر اپنا

 صدا مہکتی رہے یہ مٹّی اٹھا ہے جس سے خمیر اپنا 

بنی ہوئی ہے نشانِ منز ل تمام تر      اُ  س کی شاہ راہیں

 جواب رکھتا نہیں جہاں میں، یہ ختہ بینظیر اپنا 

میرے بھٹکنے کا عمر بھر نہیں کوئی احتمال یارو 

کہ میں نے اِس دشت کی ہوا کو بنا لیا دستگیر اپنا۔۔۔ 

! ارباب فہم و ادراک ! ایوانے خدّار و بیباک 

 میں بیٹی ہوں اس دھرتی کی، خاک وطن کی ہوں پرستار

 ٹوٹے پھوٹے بام و در، مٹی کا گھروندا   میرا سنسار 

فردوس نہیں جچتی آنکھوں میں، ہے وطن سے مجھ کو پیار

 اغیار کے گُل پرے رکھو مجھے پیارے ہیں دیس کے خار

 تم چپّہ چپّہ چھینے ہو، ہم دیس بااختیار رکھتے ہیں۔ 

شکستہ ہیں مگر اپنے درودیوار رکھتے ہیں 

                                       ! جی ہاں حضورِوالا

 یہ نشیمن بنانے میں لاکھوں ماؤں نے جگر گوشے کٹوائے، سہاگنوں نے سہاگ لوٹائے، بہنوں نے ویر گوائے

شہیدوں نے لہو کےدریا بہائے اور جب لٹے پھوٹے سرزمین پاکستان پہ آئے تو یہی صدا لگائی۔

ملی ہے جتنی زندگی وہ رائیگاں نہ جائے گی

 میرے لہو کی بوند بوند تیرے ہی کام آئے گی

 رچا ہے میری روح میں تیرا  ہی پیار اے وطن

 نثار تُجھ پہ جان میری ! ہزار  بار اے وطن!

 تیرے حضور سر بغم میری ہر ایک چیز ہے 

یہ دل تیرا غلام ہے! یہ جان تیری کنیز ہے

 کنیز تیرے سامنے کبھی نہ سر اٹھائے گی!

 میرے لہو کی بوند بوند تیرے ہی کام آے گی۔۔۔

 تیرے حضور  سر بغم میری ہر ایک چیز ہے

 یہ دل تیرا غلام ہے! یہ جان تیری کنیز ہے!  

!  جی ہاں حضور والا

 ہم مانتے ہیں کے مملکتِ خداداد کو چند مسائل نے آن گھیرا ہے، ہر سو مصائب و مشکلات کا ڈھیرا ہے، گیس پانی اور خوراک کی قلت اور اندھیرا ہی اندھیرا ہے، چند تخریبی عناصر نے متحدہ عوام کو آن  بکھیرا ہےاہلِ مغرب  نے لگائی ظرب کاری ہے کہ نسل نو ہوئی حیا سے آری ہے، یہ جو مادیت پرستی اور زاہد داری ہے      یہ دراصل یہود اورنصار کی مکاری و عیاری ہے۔ مگر ان  تمام تر  سہولتوں کے باوجود ہمیں یہ عرض پاک بہت پیاری ہے  اور ادو کے لیے یہ پیغام جاری اور ساری ہے 

ادوے آبروئے ملک و ملت فہم ہے تُجھ کو

 کہ تیرے ہم نوا احساس کی کلیاں مثل دیں گے

 مگر ہم نے قسم کھائی ہے دھرتی کے تقدّس کی 

تیری سب سازشوں کو ہم  بسر نفرت کُچل دیں گے

 تیری سب سازشوں ہم کو بست نفرت کُچل دیں گے۔ 

        ! جی ہاں حضور والا 

یہ ٹوٹی پھوٹی سی منزلیں یہ شکست خوردہ سے بام ودر

 فسيلے شہر میں پڑی جو یہ رنجشوں کی دراڑ ہے 

میرے دیار کی دیوار ہے، مجھے جان سے ہے عزیز تر 

میرے دیس کے سبھی راستے گرجے ہیں پُر خطر،

مجھے پھر بھی ان سے پیار ہے

کیونکہ وطن ہے میرا گھر

میرا وطن ہے میرا گھر

 ہے مجھے  اپنی کُٹیائی ہے بھلی، کہ رفاقتوں  کی اسیر ہے

 نفرتوں کے سانپ نے پیٹی جہاں لکیر ہے 

میرے دیس کا نفس نفس ہوا گرچے دلگیر ہے

 پر آزمائش تقدیرہے، زنجیر ہے

وقتِ کہن کی سختیاں میرے وطن تیری جبی سے مٹاؤں گی 

سیاہ بختی اور یہ ظلمتیں تیرے بام  ودر سے ہٹاؤں گی

 ہاں دکھاؤں گی! سارے جہان کو بتاؤں گی!

 یہ دیس ہے ،یہ دھرتی ماں، یہ پیرے فطرت کا بھیس ہے

 اپنے فکرو عمل سے میں یہ دیار پھر سے سجاؤں گی

 ہاں دکھاؤں گی! ہاں دکھاؤں گی! 

یہ شکستہ درودیوار ہے۔۔

میرا مسکن میرا معیار ہے ۔ میری چھت میرا وقار ہے۔۔ !اور میری یہی پُکار

  تیری آنکھوں میں اب اے نگارِ وطن

 شرمساری کے آنسو نہیں آئیں گے

 ہم کو تیری قسم اے بہار اے وطن 

اب اندھیرے سفر کو نہ دہرائیں گے

 اگر کسی  نے تیرے ساتھ دھوکہ کیا

 تو وه کوئی بھی ہو اس کے رستے کی دیوار بن جائیں گے 

جان دے کر تیرا نام کر جائیں گے

 اے زمین وطن اے زمین وطن ۔

PM'S MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF DEFENCE DAY 6TH SEP

For us the Defence Day of Pakistan signifies passion and sacrifice, serving as a supreme cause to lay our lives for the sake of our beloved homeland. This glorious day, where whole Pakistani nation stood side by side its Armed Forces, calls upon us to make a pledge to renew spirit of loyalty and service to Pakistan and pay tribute to valiant sons who embraced ‘Shahadat’ while ensuring the security of the nation.

September 6, allows us to reflect upon the courage and valour of our soldiers who had defeated a numerically large enemy and inflicted upon them a great setback. As Pakistan is moving towards a path of progress, we shall always remember supreme sacrifices of these sons who laid down their lives for our prosperous tomorrow. The defence of the country is not limited to 6 September alone, rather stretches upon an entire lifetime and encompasses all dimensions of physical and ideological frontiers which need to be guarded.

Celebrating this day helps us in reinvigorating the spirit of patriotism. Today Pakistan is confronted with multiple security challenges in shape of extremism, terrorism and external aggression, the entire nation stands alongside Pakistan Defence Forces to thwart evil designs against integrity and prosperity of Pakistan. Our soldiers are our greatest asset as they not only offer their precious lives for fighting in battlefields but also remain prepared to undertake the responsibility of working as a cohesive force in very challenging situation, may it be horrifying earthquakes or the devastating floods. The resolve and personal sacrifices of our men in arms is a great source of inspiration for whole nation.

On this special day, the whole nation stands united with utmost discipline and unwavering faith to make this country strong. We, by playing our part in the development of the country, can make Pakistan unassailable against security and economic challenges. Let us take the opportunity to once again pay homage to the martyrs of September 6, 1965and all those who sacrificed their lives for the safety of the country in the later years.

The main cause of celebrating this day is to remember the Martyred people who gave their lives for defence of beloved country Pakistan. The reason of Pakistan and India war was the issue of Kashmir, but unfortunately that issue is still unsolved at all. A lot of people sacrificed their lives and the date when this was got finished is now celebrated as Defence day of Pakistan .

There were so many army officials and soldiers who led their lives in the way of this defense as they preferred losing their lives but didn’t let Indian army get success in their dirty intentions of conquering Lahore and Punjab.

The Army officers like Captain Sarwar Shaheed, Major Tufail Shaheed, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed, Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, Sarwar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed, Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed, and Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed gave sacrifices of their life for Pakistan and were awarded with “Nishan-e-Haider” for their acts of exceptional bravery. Nishan-e-Haider is a highest military award given to brave martyrs of Pakistan army those who left remarkable examples of bravery and sacrifice for nation and country.

جناب صدر معزز سامعین السلام علیکم! آج میری تقریر کا عنوان یوم دفاع پر روشنی ڈالنا ہے۔ ۶ستمبر ۱۹۶۵ء پاکستان کی قومی تاریخ میں وہ تاریخ ساز دن ہے جب قوم سو رہی تھی لیکن پاک سرحد کی نگہبان آنکھیں جاگ رہی تھیں۔ وطن کے سپاہیوں کے لئے اپنی وفاؤں کا عہد پورا کرنے کا وقت آ گیا تھا۔ ہر بچہ، جوان، بوڑھا سر پر کفن باندھے اپنی بہادر افواج کے شانہ بشانہ ملک کے دفاع کے لئے دشمن کے مقابل تھا۔

اس دن پاکستان کے شہیدوں جری جوانوں نے اپنی سرحدوں کے بہادر اور غیور پاسبانوں کی فہرست میں اپنا نام رقم کیا۔ ان کا تن، من، دھن دیس پر قربان تھا۔ اب ہر سپاہی ناقابلِ شکست فصیل تھا، جس نے دشمن کی پیش قدمی روک دی۔ ان کی شجاعت کے ناقابلِ یقین کارناموں کی کوئی نظیر پیش نہیں کی جا سکتی۔ ان کی فرض شناسی اور حب الوطنی جدید جنگوں کی تاریخ میں درخشندہ مقام پر فائز کی جا سکتی ہے۔

یہ ایک تاریخی معرکہ تھا جس میں ہمت اور حوصلوں کی بے مثال کہانیوں نے جنم لیا۔ پوری دنیا یہ دیکھ کر حیران رہ گئی کہ پاکستان کے عوام اور افواج دشمن کے عزائم کے آگے سیسہ پلائی دیوار بن گئے اور اس کے منصوبے خاک میں ملا دئے۔ افواجِ پاکستان کے شانہ بشانہ ایک چھوٹی مگر خود دار قوم نے ثابت کیا کہ جدید اسلحہ اور فوجی برتری ہی نہیں بلکہ قوتِ ایمانی ، اتحاد، جرأت، اپنے مقصد پر یقینِ محکم اور دھرتی سے محبت ہی وہ جذبہ ہے جو کسی بھی جنگ میں کامیابی اور سرفرازی کا سبب بنتے ہیں۔

جب فوجیں سرحد کی طرف جاتیں تو بوڑھے مرد اور عورتیں سڑک کے کنارے ان کی سلامتی کے لئے دعائیں مانگتے، ان کی مدد کے طریقے پوچھتے اور بچے جذبہ عقیدت سے سلیوٹ کرتے۔ بہنیں اللہ سے ان کی حفاظت کے لئے دعائیں مانگتی۔

اے راہِ حق کے شہیدو ، وفا کی تصویرو تمہیں وطن کی ہوائیں سلام کہتی ہیں

ساتھیو! جنگوں کی تاریخ میں دوسری جنگ عظیم دوئم کے بعد ٹینکوں کی سب سے بڑی لڑائی سیالکوٹ کے ایک علاقے چونڈہ کے مقام پر لڑی گئی جہاں طاقت کے نشے میں چور بھارتی فوج چھ سو ٹينک لے کر پاکستان ميں داخل ہوگئی تھی۔ پاکستان فوج کی زبردست جوابی کارروائی نے دشمن کے ۴۵ ٹینک تباہ کر دیے اور کئی ٹینک قبضے میں لے لیے تھے۔ اسی طرح پانچ فیلڈ بندوقیں قبضہ میں لے کر بہت سارے فوجی قیدی بھی بنائے گئے۔ جنگ کا پانسہ پلٹتا دیکھ کر بھارتی فوجی حواس باختہ ہوگئے اور ٹینک چھوڑ کر فرار ہونے لگے تو پاک فوج نے موقع سے فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے دشمن کے علاقے میں کئی چوکیوں پر قبضہ کر لیا۔ اسی لیے چونڈہ کے مقام کو بھارتی ٹینکوں کیلئے ٹینکوں کا قبرستان کہا جاتا ہے۔ مگر سامعین ہماری افواج نہ صرف جنگ کے دوران معرکوں میں حصہ لیتی ہیں بلکہ امن کے دور میں بھی قوم کی تعمیر میں حصہ ڈالتی ہیں۔ سیکیورٹی فورسز اکثر اوقات قدرتی آفات سے متاثرہ علاقوں میں امداد پہنچاتی ہیں اور سیلابوں اور زلزلوں کے دوران رلیف کی خدمات سرانجام دیتی ہیں۔ فوج کے زیرِ انتظام چلنے والے کئی ادارے مثلاً اسکول، کالج، ہسپتال سویلینز کو بھی گراں قدر خدمات فراہم کرتے ہیں۔ اللہ پاک ہمارے وطن اور محافظوں کی مدد فرمائے۔ آمین۔ آپ سب کی سماعتوں کا شکریہ

6 september جنگ ستمبر ، پاک افواج کی جرات و بہادری اور قربانیوں کی داستان

وہی قومیں دنیا میں اپنا وجود برقرار رکھتی اور زندہ رہتی ہیں جو اپنا مضبوط دفاع رکھتی ہیں ، پاکستانی قوم نے بھی6 ستمبر 1965ء کی شب غیرعلانیہ جنگ کا مقابلہ کر کے ثابت کر دیا کہ وہ کسی بھی جارحیت کا منہ توڑ جواب دینے کی بھر پور صلاحیت رکھتی ہے ۔6 ستمبر 1965 ء کی شب ہمسایہ ملک نے رات کی تاریکی میں پاکستان پر حملہ کیا لیکن سرحدوں کے محافظ جاگ رہے تھے ، لاہورکے جم خانہ میں چائے پینے کے دشمن کے خواب چکنا چور کر دیے ،قوم اپنی افواج کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑی ہو گئی ،خوراک اور دیگر سامان کے ہی ڈھیر نہیں لگائے ،نوجوانوں کی ٹولیاں دشمن سے دو دو ہاتھ کرنے گھروں سے نکل آئیں ، آرمی چیف کے اس پیغام پر کہ ہر فرد ایک پیسہ دے وہ ایک ٹینک دینگے ، قوم نے بڑھ چڑھ کر چندہ پیش کر دیا ۔ کھیم کرن اورچونڈہ میں شکست کے بعد دشمن نے سرگودھا پر فضائی حملہ کیا تو شاہینوں نے پلک جھپکتے چار جہاز تباہ کر کے دشمن فضائیہ کی کمر توڑ دی۔ جنگ ستمبر میں بی آر بی نہر پاکستان کی پہلی دفاعی لائن ثابت ہوئی ۔پاکستان امن پسند ملک ہے لیکن جب بھی جنگ مسلط کی گئی پاک افواج نے پیشہ ورانہ مہارتوں ، جرات و بہادری اور قربانیوں کی نئی نئی داستانیں رقم کر دیں۔

My Countrymen! 6 September 1965 is the day when India attacked Lahore, the city of vivacious and lively people of Pakistan.

When in 1947, undivided India got partitioned into two, the people of Jammu and Kashmir, with 95% Muslim population, proclaimed to join Pakistan but India ignoring the decision of Kashmiri people, entered its army into Kashmir. Upon this, Kashmiris defied this occupation and started struggle against Indian occupation. In some time, they succeeded to regain some area which is known as Azad Kashmir today. Indian Prime Minister at that time Jawahar Lal Nehru got ceasefire on assurance of organizing a referendum in Kashmir. According to the referendum, Kashmiris would be able to use their right of self-determination and choose to merge with Pakistan or India and this will be accepted to both Pakistan and India.

This was a elementary and just action. As when a dispute could be solved without a war, then it is better to stop the war.

But it never happened!

And then Kashmiris started their struggle to get their freedom back. In the wake of freedom struggle by Kashmiris, on September 6 1965, India waged a war on Pakistan. Tanks, cannons attacked Lahore in the darkness of night but self-respecting and lively people of Pakistan, along brave Pakistan Army made this attempt failed.

My countrymen! Pakistan president at that time, General Ayub Khan announced Jehad against Indian aggression. In the morning of September 6, 1965, he said: “India forgot that he challenged a nation who recites La Ilaha Illallah and they will respond befittingly.”

Indian army had entered some areas of Lahore but Pakistani brave soldiers, army men and people made them back off. Pakistan Airforce pilots destroyed 22 Indian jet fighters and gave heavy loss to the enemy.

Many of Pakistani soldiers got martyrdom in which Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed’s name is on the top. Major Khadim Hussain and Lieutenant Iftakhar showed their braveness at Qasoor, Hadhiyara and Wagha.

In memory of those brave fighters of Pakistan, we observe September 6 as Defence Day of Pakistan every year. Each Pakistani youth and child offers Salam to martyrs of Pak Army.

صدرِ عالی وقار آج مجھے یومِ دفاع کے موقعے پر لب کشائی کا موقعہ ملا ہے۔ آپ سب کی سماعتیں چند ساعت کے لیے درکار ہیں۔

پاکستان میں ہر سال شہداء کا دن منایا جاتا ہے جنہوں نے اپنی زمین کی حفاظت کے لئے اپنی جانوں کا نذرانہ پیش کیا۔ کشمیر کے علاقے میں ہندوستان اور پاکستان کے مابین کشمیر کی دوسری جنگ کے طور پر جانا جاتا ہے۔ جیسا کہ سب جانتے ہیں ، یہ یومِ دفاع کا دن ہے ، اس لئے کہ پاک فوج نے بھارت کے حملوں کا مسلسل دفاع کیا۔

۱۹۶۵ء کی پاک بھارت جنگ کے دوران مشیر کاظمی نے قومی نغمہ “اے راہِ حق کے شہیدو وفا کی تصویرو” لکھا اور یہ باقائدہ گایا گیا۔ جناب والا! ایک نغمہ آپ تمام کی نذر۔۔۔

• اے راہِ حق کے شہیدو! وفا کی تصویرو!
• تمہیں وطن کی ہوائیں سلام کہتی ہیں
• لگانے آگ جو آئے تھے آشیانے کو
• وہ شعلے اپنے لہو سے بھجا دیے تم نے
• بچالیا ہے یتیمی سے کتنے پھولوں کو
• سہاگ کتنی بہاروں کے رکھ لیے تم نے
• تمہیں چمن کی فضائیں سلام کہتی ہیں
• چلے جو ہو گے شہادت کا جام پی کر تم
• رسولِ پاک نے بانہوں میں لے لیا ہو گا
• علی تمہاری شجاعت پہ جھومتے ہوں گے
• حسین پاک نے ارشاد یہ کیا ہو گا
• تمہیں خدا کی رضائیں سلام کہتی ہیں
• جنابِ فاطمہ جگرِ رسول کے آگے
• شہید ہو کے کیا ماں کو سرخرو تم نے
• جنابِ حضرتِ زینب گواہی دیتی ہیں
• شہیدو رکھی ہے بہنوں کی آبرو تم نے

جناب صدر! ۶ ستمبر ۱۹۶۵ء کا دن عسکری اعتبار سے تاریخ عالم میں کبھی نہ بھولنے والا قابلِ فخر دن ہے جب کئی گنا بڑے ملک نے افرادی تعداد میں کئی گنا زیادہ لشکر اور دفاعی وسائل کے ساتھ اپنے چھوٹے سے پڑوسی ملک پر کسی اعلان کے بغیر رات کے اندھیرے میں فوجی حملہ کر دیا۔ اس چھوٹے مگر غیور اور متحد ملک نے اپنے دشمن کے جنگی حملے کا اس پامردی اور جانثاری سے مقابلہ کیا کہ دشمن کے سارے عزائم خاک میں مل گئے۔ بین الاقوامی سطح پر بھی اسے شرمندگی اٹھانا پڑی۔ جارحیت کرنے والا وہ بڑا ملک ہندوستان اور غیور و متحد چھوٹا ملک پاکستان ہے۔

ایک پنجابی شاعر نے کیا خوب ترانہ لکھا ہے؀

ساتھیو! ہمیں سب کچھ قائد اعظم کے بتائے اصول( ایمان، اتحاد،نظم) پر عمل کرنے سے حاصل ہوا۔ کسی بھی زاویۂ نگاہ سے دیکھیں تو یہی اصول ۱۹۶۵ء کی جنگ میں پاکستان کی کامیابی کا مرکز اور محور تھے۔ پاکستانی قوم کی طرف سے ملی یکجہتی ،نظریاتی اور جغرافیائی سرحدوں کی حفاظت کی خاطر ہر طرح کا فرق مٹا کر اختلاف بھلا کر متحد ہو کر دشمن کو ناکوں چنے چبوانے کا بے مثال عملی مظاہرہ تھا۔ پاکستان ہمیشہ مستحکم رہے گا جب تک ہم قائد کے فرمان پر پورا اترے گے۔ اللہ ہم سب کا حامی و ناصر ہو۔۔آمین آپ سب کی سماعتوں کا شکریہ۔۔۔
