Editable cover letter templates in PDF format.

Adobe Acrobat’s free PDF cover letter templates mean you won’t have to go back to the drawing board for every job application. But you don’t have to just send the same tired letter each time, either.

With Adobe Acrobat’s online editing tools, you can customise each cover letter to give you the best shot at each job:

  • Update details.
  • Add photos.
  • Change fonts.
  • Spell check.
  • Share directly from the app .

PDFs look smarter and are shared more seamlessly than Word documents. See for yourself by checking out the cover letter templates below.

What to include in your cover letter PDF.

Stick to these four simple steps for a persuasive cover letter. Hiring managers are always busy, so choose an attractive PDF template and use Adobe Acrobat online editing tools to customise your cover letter for every job application.

1. Introduction .

Ensure that you use the proper greeting by researching the name of the person who will read your cover letter if it’s not stated in the vacancy post. It’s much more impressive for them to find an application addressed personally. If you can’t find this, address them by the title ‘Hiring Manager.’

In your introduction, clarify why you are writing, including which position you’re applying for. Then, give a succinct description of why you think the job is perfect for you and how it aligns with your career path.

Example: Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in applying for the position of Office Assistant at The Paper Factory. The prospect of assisting fellow workers in their office activities greatly appeals to me. The Paper Company has a tremendous reputation within this industry and my aim has always been to work there. I believe my excellent organisation and project management skills make me an ideal candidate for this role.

2. Why you are the right candidate for this position.

Of course, the reader won’t just take your word for it. In the second paragraph, prove how you’re the right person for the job by listing your most relevant work experience and interests.

Your CV will probably be exhaustive, but in your cover letter, you should only use those elements that have a direct bearing on this job. You may have an excellent degree, but for a job in a pet shop, you might want to highlight your three summers spent volunteering at the zoo instead. Use your storytelling skills to illustrate a time you overcame hurdles at work, a deal you brokered or a team success.

Example: My last position was as a receptionist for a marketing start-up. It was a fast-paced and dynamic environment that helped me to strengthen my multitasking skills. Prior to this, I worked as an assistant to the regional manager at Stationery Shack, a role which introduced me to the world of office management.

3. Why you want to work at this company.

Companies aren’t interested in why you are looking for work, but they are interested in why you are looking to work for them.

Your third paragraph can drill down into what impresses you about this company and why you are qualified for this particular role. Don’t forget to match the company ethos with your skills and experiences.

Example: I’m comfortable working independently and as part of a team. My role in Stationery Shack trusted me to regularly act on my initiative. As a result, my problem-solving abilities are strong and I can keep composed in potentially tricky situations. I know that the company offers development training to help assist employees in upskilling too. Working for a company that believes in my ability to progress and climb the ladder would give me tremendous confidence and motivation.

4. Wrapping up.

Thank the hiring manager for their consideration and reiterate your desire to continue the conversation. Finally, remind them of any attachments, such as your CV and use the correct sign-off. Use ‘Yours sincerely’ if you address the hiring manager by name and ‘Yours faithfully’ if you do not.

Example: Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Yours faithfully,

Martin Scott

Cover Letter PDF Template - Fillable Fields Guide

Adobe also has cover letter templates that only require applicants to fill in the blank fields. The missing words depend on the position, industry and company related to the job for which you are applying. In this particular example, the applicant would have little to no experience in the role they’re trying to obtain. As anyone who has been in such a position before knows, it’s a tricky situation to navigate. However, with this no-experience cover letter template and the fillable fields guide below, it’s a task that couldn’t be more straightforward.

Note: This template is editable on Acrobat once exported to PDF. You will be able to remove the lines and numbers before adding in your own information.

  • Insert your name.
  • Insert your email address.

  • Insert the title of the position for which you're applying.

  • List the first quality that make you an ideal candidate for this position.
  • List the second quality that make you an ideal candidate for this position.
  • List the third quality that make you an ideal candidate for this position.
  • Insert the name of the company
  • Insert the first quality that you admire about this company.
  • Insert the second quality that you admire about this company.
  • Insert the name of the sector of the company.
  • Insert the job title with a preceding a or an, depending on which determiner is more appropriate.

Benefits of using a cover letter PDF.

So, why should you use a cover letter PDF?

  • It shows you are a serious contender . Using a PDF looks more professional and can be read across all computers and operating systems. Serious applicants write a cover letter that seeks to persuade and impress the reader.
  • You are translating the raw material of your CV into a personalised, bespoke application . If your CV is a sort of biography, your cover letter makes it a compelling story, highlighting the most important chapters. Telling a story means that you can flex your creative skills and write about relevant experiences that come alive. That being said, don’t just report dry facts.
  • Demonstrate your research and communication skills . If you have shown genuine interest in the company and researched many interesting or inspiring facts, you can demonstrate this knowledge in the cover letter. Someone who has considered the company’s culture stands out as someone looking to build a career with that company. Although you should always write in a professional manner, a cover letter allows your personality and your enthusiasm to shine through.

Should my cover letter be a PDF?

It’s easy to write cover letters on Word or other word-processing documents, but the formatting, pictures, fonts and appearance may not load on the hiring manager’s operating system. Sending your cover letter and CV as a PDF will ensure that what you see is what you get and your efforts will be appreciated by whoever sees them.

What are the benefits of using PDF templates?

Businesses frequently use PDFs because they are versatile and virtually future-proof. They look consistent and feature embedded elements such as images, logos and fonts that are easily readable across all operating systems. Although PDFs are fixed for the reader, you can still edit your cover letter with Adobe Acrobat. Use password protection so only you can make changes.

Tips in Creating a Job Application Letter

A job application letter is not difficult to compose. You just need to incorporate the correct details and you will be hired by the company you are applying for in no time. Here are some tips in creating a job application letter :

Specify the recipient of the letter

It is of high importance that the job application letter should be addressed to a specific person, either to the human resource manager or any company officer. Most of the time, the job listing includes information on to whom you will be submitting your application. The full name together with the designation is usually listed down (for example: Ms. Elizabeth Olsen, Human Resource Manager, or Mr. Paul Bettany, Finance and Payroll Manager).

If a name is nowhere to be found, do research and try to locate the names of the company officers. If you are still unsuccessful, you can just address the application letter to the human resource department (for example: Human Resource Department, ABC Corporation). Take note that addressing to the human resource department is your last option, as listing down the specific recipient is more formal and will be appreciated more by the company.

Limit the content to three paragraphs max

Limit the length of your job application letter to three paragraphs maximum. The first paragraph should include information on the job position you are applying for and the reason why you are applying for the job. The second paragraph should include a short description of your skills as well as the reasons why the company should hire you. The third or closing paragraph should indicate your contact number and/or email address as well as a few sentences that you are looking forward to meeting with them in the future.

Some job application letters combine the first and second paragraphs, while the closing paragraph always closes the job application letter on a high note. Take note that the job application letter is a formal business document and you are addressing the letter to professionals who have years of experience in their respective fields. Make sure the letter is only one-page long and the content should cut directly to the point. HR managers and other company officers don’t have time to read very lengthy job application letters, and these types of letters will easily take a one-way trip to the trash bin.

Be professional

As previously mentioned, job application letters are formal business documents. You are addressing these documents to managers, officers, CEOs, or business owners. Since you are already a professional yourself, keep the job application letter professional. This includes avoiding statements that come off as desperate and hopeless. Among the statements to completely avoid are:

  • “Please hire me, I need a job.”
  • “Please hire me, I haven’t had a job in a long time.”
  • “I have friends working in the company.”
  • “My father is good friends with the CEO.”
  • “I am willing to work for any job in the company.”
  • “I don’t mind working 10 hours a day including Sundays.”
  • “It’s hard finding a job being a fresh graduate.”

Don’t forget your signature

Never forget to affix your signature in the job application letter. It might be the easiest thing to do but most times applicants tend to forget affixing their signatures due to mostly being in a hurry to submit their application. Additionally, to make the job application letter formal, do not attach a digital signature . Use your own handwriting (and preferably a marker) instead.

Dear Ms. Jones:

I am very interested with the job position your company is offering, namely the full-time Sales Executive position. The reason why I am applying for this position is due mainly to the lure and prestige that your company brings. XYZ Corporation is one of the leading retailers of computer equipment in the city, and has been so for the past decade.

My track record as a proven and effective sales person has also led me in applying for this job. I have worked previously for ABC Corporation and DEF Corporation for five years combined, both of which involved heavy sales work.

My interest in working for the company, my proven sales track record, and my desire to be the best sales person I can become will help me land this job. You can reach at this phone number, +02987443546 and I have also attached my resume for your reference.

I am submitting this application with the intent of applying as a Comic Book Artist in your company. I recently graduated with a Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and working for Marvel Entertainment, Inc., will definitely start off my graphic artist career on a high note.

Despite having no work experience after only graduating last month, I believe can become a long-term asset for Marvel Entertainment, Inc., due to the skills I possess. I am very proficient in both Adobe Photoshop and CorelDRAW, as evident in the designs I attached in this application.

Aside from the designs, I also attached my resume as well as my transcript of records for your easy reference. I hope we can talk soon about my application. Thank you and have a nice day!

Good day, Ms. Targaryen!

I hope you are having a fine day! I am very interested in the Technical Analyst vacancy which your company is hiring. This is to inform you that although I do not have any working experience as a technical analyst, I have been preparing for this day ever since I switched careers from being a registered nurse.

My passion has always involved programming and software development, in which I assisted my brother in his software business, selling and maintaining various software security systems to small businesses around the city. I resigned from my work as a nurse six months ago, and after that time I attended numerous seminars and immersed myself in an extensive self-review on software development to prepare me for this job application.

I have attached my resume, certificates from the software development seminars I attended, and various character references with mention of my programming skills for your reference.

Thank you and I hope we can talk soon about my application.

Respectfully,

Sansa Stark

Sample Job Application Letter (for managerial positions)

Good day, Mr. Curry!

I hope all is well with you. I am writing this application with the intent of applying as an Accounting Manager in your company, Golden State Inc. Being a manager requires lengthy relevant work experience as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

In regards to work experience, I have worked in a managerial capacity for more than four years in another accounting firm. When it comes to my leadership and communication skills, I made sure the employees in the previous company I worked in strictly adhered to company policies while meeting the required monthly and annual quota. The employees did not only barely meet the quota, but performed at high efficiency rates on a regular basis.

My long-term plan is to work with Golden State Inc. to continue my career on a successful path. I also plan to replicate the success I had with my previous company to Golden State, and make sure this company meets its goals and achieve long-term sustainability.

I have also attached my resume for your reference. I am looking forward to meeting with you soon to discuss my application. Thank you and have a great day!

Sincerely yours,

LeBron James, CPA

Is cover letter and application letter the same?

The terms “cover letter” and “application letter” are often used interchangeably, but they can have slightly different nuances depending on regional and industry preferences. In general, both refer to a formal document submitted along with a job application to provide additional information about the applicant’s qualifications, skills, and interest in the position. The primary purpose is to complement the simple resume and showcase how the applicant’s experiences align with the requirements of the job.

Some people use “cover letter” to refer specifically to a letter that introduces and “covers” the contents of the job application, while “application letter” might be seen as a broader term encompassing any sample letter submitted with an application, including cover letters. However, the distinction between the two is not universally agreed upon, and many people use these terms interchangeably.

How to Write an Application Letter?

how to write an application letter 1024x530

Writing an application letter, often referred to as a cover letter, is a crucial step in the job application process. It accompanies your resume and provides an opportunity to introduce yourself, highlight your qualifications, and express your interest in the job and the company. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to write an effective application letter:

1. Research the Company and Position

  • Understand the company’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Familiarize yourself with the job description to tailor your letter accordingly.

2. Start with Personal and Recipient Details

  • Include your contact information at the top: name, address, phone number, and email.
  • Add the date of writing the letter.

Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation Template

Create an Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation to highlight a scout’s character, achievements, and readiness for the Eagle rank.

Updated June 7, 2024 Written by Raina Chou | Reviewed by Brooke Davis

An Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation is a crucial document that highlights a boy scout’s character, achievements, and readiness to assume the Eagle Scout rank in scouting. It is typically written by individuals familiar with the Scout, such as teachers, religious leaders, employers, or community members.

The letter is submitted to the local council’s Eagle Scout coordinator as part of the Scout’s application. It aims to demonstrates to the Eagle Board of Review that the candidate is positively contributing to their community and worthy of the Eagle Scout rank.

How to Apply

Follow the step-by-step guide below to ensure a smooth application process:

  • Active participation in your troop for at least six months as a Life Scout.
  • Six references (five if you are not employed) from significant individuals in your life, including their names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. You may ask your references to submit an Eagle Scout letter of recommendation or provide their contact information for council follow-up.
  • Ownership of at least 21 merit badges , including the 13 mandatory badges for Eagle Scout. You need to document the dates each badge was earned and your unit number on your Eagle Scout rank application.
  • Active service for at least six months in a leadership role within your troop for at least six months after achieving the Life Scout rank. You can list up to two different positions on your application.
  • Completion of your Eagle Scout Service Project and Eagle Scout Project Workbook . Submit your project workbook information with your Eagle rank application.
  • An Eagle Scout Statement of Ambitions and Life Purpose  to submit with your application.
  • A list of your extracurricular positions of responsibility, along with any honors and awards received to submit with your application.
  • Participation in a Scoutmaster conference. The Scoutmaster conference is typically the final step before submitting your application.
  • Complete the application form . Ensure you are using the latest version of the form from the official BSA website.
  • Organize an Eagle Scout binder by compiling all required documents into a portfolio. Obtain approval and signatures from your unit leader and committee chair for your statement of ambitions and life purpose, project workbook, and listing of positions and awards.
  • Submit the signed application and original documents to your local council’s service center, preferably by hand. Keep copies for your records and ensure all documents are well-organized and clearly labeled.
  • The local council will verify the information in your application. They may contact your listed references or request letters of recommendation. Once references are verified, schedule your Eagle Board of Review. The review board will evaluate your application before meeting with you.
  • If you pass the Board of Review, they will send their approval to the local council office, indicating that your application and its contents are approved. Your application will then be sent to the BSA’s National Advancement Team for final validation, which may take up to a month.
  • Once the National Advancement Team validates your application, they will generate your Eagle Scout credentials (certificate, card, etc.). When your local council receives your credentials, they will notify your unit leadership that you are officially an Eagle Scout.

How long does the Eagle Scout rank application process take?

The entire process, from application submission to receiving your credentials, can take up to a month or more. If you experience delays of more than a month, follow up with your Scoutmaster or a committee member.

Who to Request

An Eagle Scout candidate is expected to obtain references from six individuals, or five if you are not employed . These should include:

  • A parent or guardian;
  • A pastor or an individual involved in your religion;
  • A teacher or an individual involved in your education;
  • An employer, if applicable;
  • Two references of your choosing, which could include friends, relatives, or even a Scoutmaster.

When selecting individuals to write your recommendation letters, choose those who have observed you over a period, can speak to your growth and character, and can provide specific examples and anecdotes that constitute positive reference.

How to Request

Below are key points to consider when requesting your Eagle Scout recommendation letters:

  • Example : I’ve been in Scouting for several years and have learned many valuable skills and principles. I’m now close to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and need a few letters of recommendation. I’ve greatly valued learning from you and would be grateful if you could write a recommendation for me, highlighting our experiences together and my contributions. Would you be willing to provide a positive reference to support my Eagle Scout application?
  • Give them ample time. It is advised that you should ask the letters at least a month before the deadline for recommenders to write a heartfelt, compelling letter.
  • A brief explanation that the Eagle Scout letter of reference will remain confidential and not be shown to you or anyone outside of the Eagle Scout Board of Review. Once the review process or any appeal is concluded, the responses are returned to the council and are destroyed.
  • Specific instructions that the letter should be based on personal interactions with you and include examples of your actions and character.
  • Information on how your behavior exemplifies the Scout Oath and Scout Law, along with a copy of both documents.
  • The deadline by which the recommendation needs to be submitted.
  • The appropriate email address or physical address where the letter should be sent. Provide them with a stamped and addressed envelope if the troop requires mailed recommendations.
  • Follow up with your referrer proactively yet politely. This ensures that your recommenders deliver the letters correctly before submission deadlines and helps prevent any potential delays in your application.

How to Write

An Eagle Scout letter of recommendation should highlight the candidate’s accomplishments and personal qualities while expressing genuine support for their Eagle Scout candidacy.

Unlike professional recommendation letters, the Eagle Scout letter of recommendation can be shorter and structured more loosely, allowing for creativity and a personal touch that reflects the recommender’s unique perspective and relationship with the candidate.

Step 1: Introduction

Start by addressing the recipient with a formal salutation, such as “Dear Members of the Eagle Scout Review Board.”

Then, introduce yourself and your relationship to the Eagle Scout candidate. Briefly explain how you know the candidate, whether it’s through a professional, academic, or personal connection. Highlight your qualifications and credibility as a recommender, mentioning any relevant titles, positions, or experiences that make you suitable to provide a recommendation.

Express your enthusiasm for the opportunity to recommend the candidate and convey your confidence in their qualifications for the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout.

Keep the introduction concise, respectful, and focused on establishing your connection to the candidate and your ability to provide a meaningful recommendation.

Step 2: Body Paragraph(s)

Use the next one or two paragraphs to illustrate how the candidate embodies qualities of Scout Oath and Law through specific instances.

A Scout should be, according to Boy Scouts of America:

  • Trustworthy;

Below are some tips and examples to inspire you on how to craft compelling body paragraphs:

  • Discuss the scout’s leadership roles and community service projects, highlighting how they have positively impacted others.
  • Share personal stories and anecdotes to paint a vivid picture of the scout’s journey. Describe observed growth and maturity in the scout over time to emphasize their development into a responsible and proactive individual.
  • Address the scout’s potential for future success. Highlight traits such as reliability, hard work, and the ability to handle responsibilities, which are indicative of their readiness to join the ranks of Eagle Scouts.
  • Avoid overdoing exaggerated praises that may come across as insincere or over-the-top.
  • Focus on one to two key strengths to provide a clear and concise assessment. Excessively outlining numerous traits may overwhelm the reader.
  • If applicable, be honest about the scout’s weaknesses and discuss how the scout is actively working to improve in those areas. For example, if a scout has a weakness in time management, you can mention how the scout has recognized this challenge and has taken steps to improve by implementing a more structured schedule. Highlighting the effort to improve demonstrates the scout’s commitment to growth and development.

Achievements vs Development

While earning merit badges is significant, the Eagle Scout rank focuses more on character development. Recommenders should prioritize personal qualities, adherence to the Scout Oath and Law, and their journey and development over mere achievements.

Step 3: Closing

Begin the conclusion by expressing your confidence in the candidate’s abilities, character, and potential for success. Assure the reader that you are committed to supporting the candidate in their future endeavors.

You may also extend your heartfelt congratulations to the candidate for their achievements and for reaching this significant milestone in their scouting journey.

Close the letter with a formal sign-off, such as “Sincerely,” followed by your name, title, and contact information.

Step 4: Submission

There are two typical ways to provide your reference for the candidate:

  • Contact by Council Member: The candidate may note down your information, and a council member responsible for reviewing the Scout’s performance will contact you via phone or email to obtain the reference.
  • Mailed or Emailed Reference: The candidate may request that you mail or email the letter of reference. In this case, they should provide a stamped and addressed envelope for a physical letter, or the email address of a council member for an emailed reference.

It’s important to note that the letter of recommendation will only be shared with the Eagle Board of Review. If you want the candidate to receive a copy, you must give it to them directly.

If there are any delays or issues with the submission of recommendation letters, consider following up with the local council politely. While scouts are not officially responsible for ensuring the delivery or follow-through of the recommendations, following up helps in preventing potential delays in your application process and demonstrates your commitment to achieving the Eagle Scout rank.

If after a reasonable period there is still no response from the references, the District Advancement Chair may take on the responsibility to secure recommendations.

Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation: Examples

Example 1: recommendation by a parent.

Dear Members of the Eagle Scout Review Board,

It is with immense joy and admiration that I write to recommend my son Ivan Ashworth for the rank of Eagle Scout. As his mother, I have witnessed Ivan’s growth and dedication throughout his scouting journey, and I am honored to share my perspective on his character and accomplishments.

Among Ivan’s many admirable qualities, his helpfulness shines the brightest. Ivan has dedicated countless hours to community service, always ready to lend a hand wherever it is needed. One memorable example was when he organized a neighborhood clean-up after a severe storm. Ivan rallied our neighbors, coordinated efforts, and personally assisted elderly residents with debris removal. His genuine concern for the well-being of others was evident, and his leadership transformed a challenging situation into a community-building experience.

Another outstanding trait of Ivan’s is his bravery. During a hiking trip with his troop, Ivan encountered a situation where a fellow scout slipped and injured his ankle. Without hesitation, Ivan took charge, calmly administered first aid, and devised a plan to safely transport his friend back to the campsite. His quick thinking and courage under pressure not only ensured his friend’s safety but also set a powerful example of composure and responsibility for his peers.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly support Ivan Ashworth’s candidacy for the rank of Eagle Scout. His dedication to the principles of scouting, coupled with his outstanding character, makes him a deserving candidate. I am confident that Ivan will continue to make significant contributions to his community and beyond.

Emily Ashworth

Example 2: Recommendation by a Pastor

My name is Pastor John Williams, and I have had the pleasure of knowing Martin Maxwell for the past five years through our church community. It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I recommend Martin for the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. His unwavering commitment to his faith, family, and community has been truly inspiring.

What sets Martin apart from his peers is his kindness. Martin’s genuine care for others is evident in his volunteer work at our church, where he consistently assists with food drives and mentors younger children. One particularly touching example was when he spent several weeks helping a recently widowed member of our congregation with household chores and emotional support. Martin’s empathy and selflessness provided much-needed comfort during a difficult time.

Martin’s reverence for his faith is another remarkable trait. . Martin is deeply committed to his spiritual growth and the spiritual well-being of those around him. He leads a weekly youth Bible study group, where he encourages younger members to explore their faith and supports them through their spiritual journeys. Martin’s ability to connect with and inspire his peers through faith has been a significant contribution to our church community.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Martin Maxwell for the rank of Eagle Scout. His strong moral compass, leadership skills, and dedication to serving others make him an exemplary candidate. I have no doubt that Martin will continue to make meaningful contributions to his community and exemplify the highest ideals of scouting.

Pastor John Williams

Example 3: Recommendation by a Teacher

It is with great pride and admiration that I write this letter to recommend Adrijan Adamík for the rank of Eagle Scout. Having had the privilege of teaching Adrijan for the past three years at Greenwood High School, I have witnessed his commendable dedication to his studies, his community, and his personal development.

Adrijan is the student everyone can count on, whether it’s for group projects, school events, or peer support. One standout example was when he took the lead on a major science fair project. Despite facing tight deadlines and numerous challenges, Adrijan’s consistent effort and organizational skills ensured the project’s success, earning his team top honors. His peers often turn to him for guidance, knowing they can rely on his dependability and steady presence.

But perhaps what makes Adrijan stand out the most is his reverence. Adrijan has a profound respect for education, community, and the natural world. His Eagle Scout project, a book drive to benefit underfunded schools in our district, exemplified this reverence. Adrijan’s meticulous planning, coordination of volunteers, and heartfelt dedication resulted in the collection of over a thousand books, significantly enriching the resources available to young students. His respect for the transformative power of education was evident in every aspect of the project.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly support Adrijan Adamík’s candidacy for the rank of Eagle Scout. His dedication to the principles of scouting, his leadership skills, and his unwavering commitment to serving others make him a deserving candidate. I am confident that Adrijan will continue to achieve great things and make a positive impact on his community and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my parent write a recommendation letter for my eagle scout nomination.

Yes, parents can support their child’s Eagle Scout nomination by utilizing a free template for an Eagle Scout Recommendation Letter from a Parent. This template is compatible with MS Word, Google Docs, and Apple Pages, and it guides parents in providing a thorough account of their child’s qualifications and personal qualities.

How do I plan to complete all key requirements before my Eagle Scout application?

Start planning early by setting target dates. For instance, aim to have all Eagle-required merit badges completed by age 16 and the Eagle Scout service project completed by age 17. Delays can occur at every step, and it’s essential to hope for the best but plan for the worst, as every phase will likely take longer than expected. Procrastination can lead to a rush near the deadline, potentially compromising the quality of the recommendation letters.

However, you can still earn your Eagle rank as long as you complete requirements 1-6 before your 18th birthday even if there are delays. The board of review can be conducted after your 18th birthday.

What is the quickest path to attaining Eagle Scout rank?

The quickest a new Scout can realistically achieve Eagle Scout rank is within a two-year timeframe, assuming they remain dedicated and proactive. This accelerated path typically involves participating in weeklong camps to earn merit badges quickly and advancing in rank swiftly. It is also crucial for Scouts aiming for this goal to start planning their Eagle project as early as possible to ensure timely completion.

How to Write a Job Application Letter?

  • Start Directly – Make sure that you start your application letter with a clear note so that the person reading it knows what it is about. Mention the title of the job. the name of the company, and also the source from where you got the information about the job listing. You can also mention in detail why you are the perfect candidate for the position. But, try and keep the first paragraph crisp and to the point, and lengthy ones can make it a redundancy to read .
  • Make It Different From The Resume – Try not to duplicate your resume in your application letter templates , as you are probably going to send the two together.
  • Make a Good Case – Your first goal with this professional letter is to make a good case to gain positive feedback from the organization or the hiring manager. Use both your qualifications and your experience to further your case with the company. You can also include background details that tell the letter employer why you are the right match for the position. You can also include parts about how the previous jobs have been a great help to make your preparation for this position.
  • Conclude With The Important Details – Make sure to add a thank you printable note after the letter. You can also share your contact details as this gets easier for the employer to follow up with you if there is anything.

The next paragraphs detail how you will be fit for the job and also be a promising asset for the company. In the last part of the Email Cover Letter in PDF , you can thank your employer and also provide the follow-up information.

Filing fees are final and non-refundable, regardless of any action we take on your application, petition, or request, or if you withdraw your request.   If you pay by credit card or debit card, you cannot later dispute the payment. Use our Fee Calculator to help determine your fee.

If you are submitting multiple forms, pay each filing fee separately. We are transitioning to electronically processing immigration benefit requests, which requires us to use multiple systems to process your package. We may reject your entire package if you submit a single, combined payment for multiple forms.

Please do not submit this checklist with your Form I-601. The checklist is an optional tool to use as you prepare your form, but does not replace statutory, regulatory, and form instruction requirements. We recommend that you review these requirements before completing and submitting your forms.  Do not send original documents unless specifically requested in the form instructions or applicable regulations.

If you submit any documents (copies or original documents, if requested) in a foreign language, you must include a full English translation along with a certification from the translator verifying that the translation is complete and accurate, and that they are competent to translate from the foreign language into English.
