report, co-sponsored by the Online Learning Consortium, a collaborative community focused on the advancement of quality online education, revealed that enrollment in online courses had steadily increased over the past 14 years and as of Fall 2016, 31.6% of students were enrolled in at least one online education course (Seaman et al., 2018).
The following common themes emerged: 1) maximize technology, 2) utilize rubrics, templates, and automated responses, 3) establish a system, and 4) foster an environment rich in feedback. Feed forward is the third type. It directs student learning in accordance with. performance data (ASCD, 2012).
According to Hernández-Ramos and De La Paz (2009), digital technologies "are uniquely capable of supporting rich, complex and nonlinear representations of knowledge and understanding" (p. 153).
