The Product Database lets you sort and filter through Amazon's best (and better) selling products to find potential opportunities.​

Using the Product Database

  • From the left-hand navigation panel, click  Product Research → Product Database .
  • Select your Marketplace from the dropdown menu.
  • These represent all the supported categories per Marketplace. By checking the box to the left of each category, only products from those categories will be included in your search results. Products from unselected categories will be excluded.
  • You can choose to search just one category or multiple categories at a time; there are no limitations to the number of categories you can include in your search results.

  • You will see the Product Tier and Seller Type options on the top right of the page. These are optional filters that can help you further narrow your search.
  • Product Tier  represents the size of the product based on information from Amazon's catalog. Product Tiers are important because they determine how much you will pay in FBA Fees and how much you can store at Amazon's warehouse. 

Seller Type  represents who is selling the product and how the orders are being fulfilled:

  • FBA: Fulfillment By Amazon → The buy box owner is a Third Party Seller and is using Fulfillment By Amazon to fulfill their orders. 
  • FBM : Fulfillment By Merchant → The buy box owner is a Third Party Seller and controls the entire process after a customer places an order, including shipping and handling.

  • Price: Choose the minimum and maximum list price of the items you want to see in your search results. 
  • Net: This filter allows you to enter the minimum and maximum price of products after deducting the FBA fees. The FBA fees for each product will be noted in the Price column of the Database results, next to the NET price.
  • Rank: Choose the products' minimum and maximum Best Seller Rank (BSR).
  • Est. Sales: Select the minimum and maximum monthly estimated units sold (based on rank) for products displayed in your search results. If you want to know more about how we estimate sales, you can learn all about AccuSales™ here .
  • Est. Revenue: This filter allows you to enter a product's minimum and maximum revenue after the FBA fees have been deducted. 
  • Number of Reviews: The minimum and maximum number of reviews on the product listings. 
  • Rating: Want to limit the results in your search to three stars or less? This filter will do that for you. Just enter the minimum and maximum number of stars you want your resulting products to have in the Rating filter.
  • Weight: How much do you want your prospective product to weigh? Enter the minimum and maximum weight, in pounds, into this filter.
  • No. Sellers: This filter lets you dictate how many sellers you want on a product's listing. Again, this is a minimum/maximum filter.
  • Listing Quality: We’ve developed an in-house algorithm to determine the quality of a listing, and this filter can help you find products that have listings that can be optimized. In general, listings that score under 2 or 3 will be very poor quality, while those with a score over 7 or 8 have very good listings. Enter the minimum and maximum Listing Quality Score (LQS) you want for your results into this filter.

Next, you can set the Date First Available option.

  • We've included this data point to help you see when a listing was first published to Amazon. You can filter results by selecting a specific Date Range or customizing a set of dates.

Date

  • To find products associated with specific keywords, enter those terms in the Include Keywords search box (separate keywords with commas). Likewise, if you’d rather omit products associated with certain keywords from appearing in your results, just enter those terms in the Exclude Keywords search box (again, make sure you separate those keywords with commas). 
  • Lastly, you can also prevent top brands and unavailable products from being displayed among your results. To enable this, just tick the Exclude Top Brands and/or Exclude Unavailable Products box.

Date

  • Once you are done choosing your presets, click Search.

After hitting the Search   button, you can customize and review your search results more easily.

  • Number of results: You can select how many results you want to see displayed per page. Choose between 25, 50, or 100.
  • Columns: You'll also have the option to select which columns you want to see. Click on the pulldown menu and select/deselect each option accordingly.
  • Export Feature: You can export your results to a CSV file by clicking the Download CSV icon. Do note that this feature only exports the results one page at a time.

Finally, note that you'll need to use the arrows to navigate from page to page and extract your next set of results. 💡 Remember that the Database is currently limited to displaying 10,000 products, even if the search generated more than 10,000 results with the filters you used.

Jungle Scout Product Research

Hey everyone! I am one step closer to launching my store. Finally got my wholesale license in the mail today. I started my product research with Jungle Scout and Keepa, and to no ones surprise, it’s a lot harder than the YouTube people make it look, unless I’m doing something wrong.

I was hoping for some advice here.

I’m doing everything the dozens of videos I’ve watched say, and get very different results.

I go into a category I am mostly ungated in and open the product list. This is the first issue. On the YouTube videos these guys keep clicking a button on the bottom left of the Chrome extension and get hundreds of results. Mine has no button, and I never get more than fifty results no matter what I click.

I put all the filters everyone says, less than a thousand sales a month, low competition l, more than three sellers, make sure Amazon isn’t one of them, make sure the actually company isn’t selling the product on Amazon. By the time I do all of that, there will be one product left on the page, and it’s some random, generic, brand less item with no distributor Google can find.

So am I missing something? I’m sure Amazon sells more than 50 products in the Home and Kitchen category, why can’t I get them to come up? Any suggestions?

If you have an Instagram and Facebook page for your business or brand, or even if you’re a content creator, you could be selling products directly to your followers and other users on each social media platform. 

Unlike Facebook Marketplace , Shops on Facebook and Instagram creates a unique shopping experience on Facebook and Instagram that allows you to showcase your products within your posts and on your profile. 

The best part is you don’t need a Shopify store to list your products (though you can use one). You can simply create a store on Facebook, where customers can add to their cart and checkout without leaving your page.

Shops lets you create a customized storefront and sell products to followers from your Instagram account and Facebook business page. It allows users to seamlessly purchase products directly from your Facebook page or Instagram account, all without navigating to another ecommerce site.

Who are Facebook and Instagram Shops for?

Facebook and Instagram Shops are for businesses or content creators with a Facebook business page and/or a Professional Instagram account. You can easily create a new Instagram account and Facebook business page if you don’t have either for your business or brand. 

To create a business page on Facebook, you must have an active Facebook account . 

Facebook Shops is free to use. There is no registration fee to pay, nor do you have to pay a monthly subscription cost. 

When you make a sale, Meta will deduct a 2.9% payment processing fee automatically from your payout. 

How to create a Facebook business page

On your Facebook account, go to the left-hand side of the page and click on “Pages.”

Next, click on “Create new Page.”

Fill in information about your business or page and click “Create Page.”

How to create a Business or Creator Instagram account

If you currently have an individual account on Instagram (or you’re not sure), go to the account settings page, scroll down to the bottom, and click on “Switch to Professional Account.”

With a professional Instagram account, you can choose between a Business account or a Creator account. Each type of account allows you to see more information, including the demographics of your followers and engagement. Most importantly, they give you the ability to add a Shop to your account. 

Once your Facebook Page is created, you can create a Shop.

To create a Shop for your page, go to your page, then click on Meta Business Suite on the left-hand side, then go to All Tools, Commerce.

Then, you will go through the steps of creating your shop and connecting your page to your shop.

Once you have completed all of these steps, click Finish Setup. You will then be taken to the business and payout information section.

How to add products to your Facebook Shop

To add products to your Facebook Shop and Instagram Shop, go to the Commerce Manager in your Meta Business Suite. 

Once you’re inside the Commerce Manager, go to Catalog, then click Add Items.

Also, inside the Commerce Manager, you can customize your Shop, set up promotions, turn on advertising, and more. 

How to make your Facebook and Instagram Shop active

To make sure that your Shop is visible on both Facebook and Instagram, your first step is to go to the Commerce Manager, go to settings, then click on “Business assets.”

Here, you can see if your Shop is active.

How to connect your Shopify store to Facebook Shops

If you would prefer to connect your existing Shopify store with your Facebook Shop, you can easily connect the two platforms. Once connected, you can offer your Shopify products to your Facebook and Instagram followers. 

Within your Shopify account, navigate to the Sales channels section on the left-hand side and click the plus sign.

(This account already has Facebook connected.)

After you click the plus sign, find Facebook and follow the prompts to sync your Shopify with your Facebook shop. 

After the two are synced, you will still need to make sure your products will be visible in your Facebook Shop. 

To do so, go to your products and select all products (or choose the ones you want to be listed on Facebook Shops). 

Click on “More actions,” then “Add available channel(s).”

Then be sure to check “Facebook” as a sales channel. Now the selected products will be available in your Facebook and Instagram Shops.

How to edit your Shop

Go to ” Shops ” in your Commerce Manager,” then click on “Edit shop.”

In this section, you can choose the layout of your shop on both Facebook and Instagram, as well as create new collections.
