1. जम्मू एवं कश्मीर का इतिहास

जम्मू एवं कश्मीर की कला और संस्कृति – अगर देखा जाए तो कश्मीर का इतिहास इससे भी पुराना ज्ञात होता है जिसको आज हम विस्तार से नहीं जानेगे इतिहास को मोटे तोर पर देखे तो ईसा पूर्व तीसरी शताब्‍दी में सम्राट अशोक ने कश्‍मीर में बौद्ध धर्म का प्रचार प्रसार किया | उसके बाद कश्मीर में हिंदू और बौद्ध संस्‍‍कृतियों का मिश्रित रूप वि‍कसित हुआ। कश्‍मीर के हिंदू राज्‍यों मं ललितादित्‍य (सन 797 से सन738) सबसे प्रसिद्ध राजा हुए जिन्होंने अपने साम्रज्य का विस्तार काफी दूर तक किया | कश्‍मीर में इस्‍लाम का आगमान 13वीं और 14वीं शताब्‍दी के आरंम्भ में हुआ |

सन 1733 से 1782 तक राजा रंजीत देव ने जम्‍मू एवं कश्मीर पर शासन राज किया परन्तु बाद में राजकाज की बागडोर डोगरा शाही खानदान के वंशज राजा गुलाब सिंह को दे दी । 1947 तक जम्‍मू एवं कश्मीर पर डोगरा शासकों ने राज किया इसके बाद महाराजा हरि सिंह ने 26 अक्‍टूबर, 1947 को जम्मू एवं कश्मीर को भारतीय संघ में विलय के समझौते पर हस्‍ताक्षर कर दिए ।

2. जम्मू एवं कश्मीर की वेशभूषा

जम्मू एवं कश्मीर की कला और संस्कृति में वेशभूसा महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखती है जिसमे गर्दन पर बटन लगाने और टखनों तक गिरने वाले लंबे ढीले गाउन पहने जाते है। सर्दियों में यह ऊन से और गर्मियों में कपास से बनाया जाता है। पुरुषों और महिलाओं द्वारा पहने जाने वाले फेरन के बीच बहुत कम अंतर होता है। फेरन के नीचे एक ढीले प्रकार का एक पायजामा पहना जाता है और यह सभी ग्रामीण लोगो की पोशाक होती है। मुस्लिम महिलाएं लाल रंग की पट्टिका और पंडित महिलाऐ सफेद कपड़े की पट्टियों से घिरी पोसाक सिर पर पहनती हैं।

एक शॉल सिर और कंधों पर लगाया जाता है।कश्मीर के पुरुष सम्मान और मिलनसार होने के संकेत के रूप में सिर पर पगड़ी पहनते हैं। कुछ वर्गों में स्त्रियो को सुंदर साड़ी और सलवार पहने हुए भी देखा जा सकता है, जबकि पुरुष के द्वारा कोट और पतलून पहना जाता हैं।

3. जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के भोजन

जम्मू एवं कश्मीर की कला और संस्कृति में अब हम भोजन पर आ पहुंचे है कश्मीर का मुख्य भोजन चावल है। इसके अलावा यहाँ कश्मीरी पुलाव भी काफी लोकप्रिय व्यंजनों है।कश्मीर के लोग भोजन करते समय सब्जियों का काफी मात्रा लेते हैं कश्मीर का पसंदीदा डिश हॉक या करम साग है। हालाँकि शहरों में मटन भी बड़ी मात्रा में खाया जाता है लेकिन जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के गांवों में सिर्फ यह उत्सव के अवसरों में ही खाया जाता है।

4. जम्मू एवं कश्मीर का संगीत और नृत्य

कश्मीर में संगीत को सूफियाना कलाम कहा जाता है। इस्लाम के आने के बाद कश्मीरी संगीत ईरानी संगीत से प्रभावित हुआ। कश्मीर में उपयोग किये जाने वाले संगीत वाद्ययंत्र का आविष्कार ईरान में किया गया । अन्य कश्मीरी वाद्ययंत्रों में नागरा, डुकरा और सितार आदि प्रमुख हैं।कश्मीरी धुनों के कई राग फ़ारसी भाषा के रूप में पेश किए जाते हैं | रबाब नामक एक स्वीकृत लोक संगीत भी कश्मीर में काफी लोकप्रिय है |

जम्मू घाटी में एक डोगरा पहाड़ी क्षेत्र मौजूद है यह क्षेत्र एक प्रसिद्ध कलाकार गीतरू के नाम से जाना जाता है। यह कलाकार मुख्य रूप से त्योहारों या ग्रामीण शादियों में प्रदर्शन करता है। रूफ के नाम से प्रसीद एक पारंपरिक नृत्य कश्मीरी महिलाओं द्वारा बड़े पैमाने पर किया जाता है |

5. जम्मू और कश्मीर की भाषा

जम्मू कश्मीर की भाषाऐ आधुनिक इंडो- आर्यन भाषाओं के बीच एक मजबूत स्थिति का दावा करती है। यह इन भाषा की प्राचीनता के कारण है | कश्मीरी भाषा एक भारतीय-आर्य परिवार की भाषा है जो कश्मीर घाटी तथा चेनाब घाटी में प्रमुख रूप से बोली जाती है, जिसको पुरे भारत में बोलने वाले करीबन 56 लाख लोग है |

कश्मीरी फारसी और संस्कृत भाषा से भी काफी हद तक प्रभावित रहे हैं , हालाँकि भारत सरकार ने 2020 में आधिकारिक भाषा विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी है | जिसके तहत जम्मू कश्मीर की आधिकारिक भाषाओं की सूची में उर्दू और अंग्रेजी के अलावा कश्मीरी, डोगरी और हिंदी को शामिल किया गया है, कश्मीर की अन्य महत्वपूर्ण भाषाओं में पश्तो, गोजरी, बलती, पहाड़ी और लद्दाखी आदि प्रमुख हैं।

6. जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के त्यौहार

कश्मीर उत्तर भारत में झेलम नदी की घाटी पर स्थित है। कशमीर की सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है इसे दुनिया का स्वर्ग भी कहा जाता है। माना जाता है कि पहले यहाँ पर शिवजी की पत्नी सती रहती थी और चारों तरफ पानी ही पानी हुआ करता था लेकिन वहा पर राक्षस के वद के बाद सारा पानी झेलम नदी के माध्यम से बहा दिया गया और तभी से इसका नाम सतीवर से कश्मीर पड़ा।

कश्मीर हर मौसम में बहुत ही सुंदर दिखाई देता है। इसकी इसी सुंदरता को देखने दुर दुर से लोग आते है। गर्मीयों में यहाँ पर हरियाली देखने को मिलती है तो सर्दीयों में चारों तरफ बर्फ और बर्फ में खेलते लोग। पेड़ो पर लगे लाल लाल सेब बहुत ही अच्छे लगते है। आंतकवाद के समय में भी कश्मीर का बर्फ से ढका हुआ नजारा लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित कर ही लेता है। वहाँ पर जाने वाला हर व्यक्ति यही कहता है कि असली जन्नत को यहीं पर है।

कश्मीर में आंतकवाद बहुत ही ज्यादा है। आजादी के बाद से कश्मीर भारत का हिस्सा रहा है लेकिन पाकिस्तान उस पर अपना हक जमा रहा है जिसके चलते कश्मीर में हर रोज आंतकवाद के किस्से सुनने को मिलते है।

जम्मू और कश्मीर भारत का एक अभिन्न अंग है, जो कि भारत के उत्तरी राज्यों में स्थित है। जम्मू और कश्मीर की राजधानी श्रीनगर है। यहां पर सभी वर्ष एवं सभी महीने बर्फ पड़ती रहती है। जम्मू और कश्मीर विश्व की सबसे सुंदर स्थानों में से एक है, यहां पर हिमालय की ऊंची ऊंची चोटिया, ग्लेशियर, नदियां एवं घाटिया, सदाबहार वन, ताजी पहाड़ी हवा इत्यादि मौजूद है, जम्मू और कश्मीर को धरती का स्वर्ग भी कहा जाता है।

भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद में वर्ष 1948 में 1 जनवरी को जम्मू और कश्मीर का मुद्दा उठाया है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ अमेरिका ने 17 जनवरी 1948 को भारत एवं पाकिस्तान से या गुजारिश की, कि यह हालात को सुधारने का उपाय करें और प्रत्येक भौतिक परिवर्तन की जानकारी दें।

जम्मू कश्मीर को लेकर पाकिस्तान के साथ युद्ध

जैसा कि हम सभी लोग जानते हैं, जम्मू कश्मीर को लेकर भारत एवं पाकिस्तान के मध्य अनेकों विवाद छिड़ चुके हैं। इतना ही नहीं पाकिस्तान अपनी आदतों के कारण लगातार जम्मू और कश्मीर पर हमले करता ही जा रहा है। जम्मू और कश्मीर में 1965 ईस्वी में अगस्त को पाकिस्तानी सशस्त्र सेनाओं के द्वारा हमला कर दिया गया। जम्मू और कश्मीर में तैनात भारत के जांबाज सिपाहियों ने पाकिस्तान की सशस्त्र सेना का जमकर विरोध किया और उन्हें मार गिराया। इसके बाद भारत एवं पाकिस्तान के बीच 10 जनवरी 1966 ईस्वी में ताशकंद समझौता कर दिया गया, जिस पर दोनों देशों के प्रधानमंत्री का हस्ताक्षर भी लिया गया, परंतु इसके बाद ही पाकिस्तान अपनी आदतों से बाज नहीं आ रहा और यह लगातार सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक्स करते ही जा रहे हैं।

भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री के द्वारा जारी किया गया जम्मू और कश्मीर के प्रवासी लोगों के लिए पैकेज

भारत सरकार के द्वारा जम्मू कश्मीर के प्रवासियों की वापसी के लिए विशेष तरह के पैकेज को जारी कर दिया गया है, जिसके तहत वहां की सभी लोगों को लाभ प्रदान किया जा रहा है। भारत सरकार द्वारा शुरू किए गए इस पैकेज के मुख्य संगठक निम्नलिखित हैं।

पूर्ण रूप से या आंशिक रूप से क्षतिग्रस्त घरों की मरम्मत की जाएगी और इन के पुनर्निर्माण के लिए ₹7,50,000 प्रति परिवार की दर से सहायता राशि प्रदान की जाएगी।
वर्ष 1989 के बाद से जम्मू और कश्मीर की अचल संपत्ति का परीक्षण किया जाएगा और आर्थिक तंगी में नियंत्रण किया जाएगा।
भारत सरकार के द्वारा जम्मू कश्मीर के जर्जर घरों के लिए प्रत्येक परिवार को ₹200000 की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी।

जम्मू और कश्मीर के बारे में जानकारी

जम्मू और कश्मीर भारत के सबसे उत्तरी भाग में स्थित केंद्र शासित राज्य है। जम्मू-कश्मीर की दो राजधानियाँ है, ग्रीष्‍मकाल (मई-अक्टूबर) में श्रीनगर और शीतकाल (नवंबर-अप्रैल) में जम्मू राजधानी रहती है। यह भारत की ओर से उत्तर में चीन और अफगानिस्तान, पूर्व में चीन, और दक्षिण में हिमाचल प्रदेश और पंजाब से घिरा है। पश्चिम में यह पाकिस्तान के उत्तर-पश्चिम फ्रंटीयर प्रांत और पंजाब से घिरा है। जम्मू-कश्मीर का क्षेत्र 101,387 वर्ग किमी. है। जम्मू कश्मीर को भारत के संविधान में उल्लिखित धारा 370 के अंतर्गत एक विशेषाधिकार प्राप्त राज्य था

परंतु 5 अगस्त 2019 को, भारत सरकार ने भारत के संविधान से अनुच्छेद 370 को निरस्त करने के लिए स्थानांतरित किया और राज्य को दो केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों, जम्मू-कश्मीर, और लद्दाख में विभाजित करने के लिए एक विधेयक पेश किया। भारत के राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने 9 अगस्त 2019 को जम्मू-कश्मीर को दो क्रेंद शासित प्रदेशों जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख में बांटने वाले ‘जम्मू-कश्मीर पुनर्गठन’ 2019 ऐक्ट को मंज़ूरी दे दी। इसके अनुसार जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख आधिकारिक तौर पर 31 अक्टूबर को केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बन गए हैं।

जम्मू और कश्मीर का इतिहास

दो प्रामाणिक ग्रंथों राजतरंगिणी तथा नीलम पुराण में यह आख्‍यान मिलता है कि कश्मीर की घाटी कभी बहुत बड़ी झील हुआ करती थी। जम्मू-कश्मीर पहले हिंदू शासकों और फिर मुस्लिम सुल्तानों के अधीन रहा। बाद में यह राज्य अकबर के शासन में मुगल साम्राज्य का हिस्सा बन गया। सन् 1756 से अफगान शासन के बाद, सन् 1819 में यह राज्य पंजाब के सिख साम्राज्य के अधीन हो गया। सन् 1846 में रंजीत सिंह ने जम्मू क्षेत्र महाराजा गुलाब सिंह को सौंप दिया। सन् 1846 में सबरुन की निर्णायक लड़ाई के बाद अमृतसर संधि के मुताबिक कश्मीर भी महाराजा गुलाब सिंह को सौंप दिया गया। सन 1947 तक जम्मू पर डोगरा शासकों का शासन रहा।

सन् 1947 में यह राज्य पाकिस्तान के सशस्त्र हमले का विषय बना। 26 अक्टूबर 1947 को महाराजा हरिसिंह के अनुवृध्दि के समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बाद इसे भारत में शामिल होना मंजूर किया गया। उस विलय पत्र पर 26 अक्टूबर, 1947 को पण्डित जवाहरलाल नेहरू और महाराज हरीसिंह ने हस्ताक्षर किये। इस विलय पत्र के अनुसार- “राज्य केवल तीन विषयों- रक्षा, विदेशी मामले और संचार -पर अपना अधिकार नहीं रखेगा, बाकी सभी पर उसका नियंत्रण होगा। इसी क्रम में भारतीय संविधान में ‘अनुच्छेद 370’ जोड़ा गया था, और जिसमें बताया गया कि जम्मू-कश्मीर से सम्बंधित राज्य उपबंध केवल अस्थायी है, स्थायी नहीं।

जम्मू और कश्मीर का केंद्र शासित प्रदेश भारत के संविधान के अनुच्छेद 239 के प्रावधानों के तहत प्रशासित है। मूल रूप से पुडुचेरी के केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए तैयार अनुच्छेद 239 ए जम्मू और कश्मीर पर भी लागू होगा।जम्मू और कश्मीर में सरकार के पास ही सर्वोच्च अधिकार हैं। अन्य किसी भी राज्य की तरह यहां भी 3 शाखाएं हैं- कार्यपालिका, विधायिका और न्यायपालिका। कार्यपालिका शाखा की प्रधान सरकार होती है जो कि राज्य की भी मुखिया है। राज्य के कार्यकारी अधिकार मुख्यमंत्री के पास होते हैं। राज्य की विधानसभा में 89 सदस्य हैं और विधान परिषद में 36 सदस्य हैं।

जम्मू और कश्मीर के मुख्यमंत्री बनने वाले प्रथम व्यक्ति मेहर चंद महाजन थे। उन्होंने 15 अक्टूबर 1947 में राज्य के पहले मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली थी। जम्मू और कश्मीर के वर्तमान उप-राज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा है। मनोज सिन्हा ने 7 अगस्त 2020 को जम्मू और कश्मीर के उप- राज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण की है। जम्मू-कश्मीर के प्रथम राज्यपाल युवराज करण सिंह थे ये 30 मार्च 1985 से 15 मई 1949 तक इस पद पर कार्यरत रहे थे।

कश्मीर उतर भारत में झेलम नदी पर स्थित है। यहाँ पर हमेशा ठंड ही रहती है। यह बहुत ही सुंदर है। इसे धरती का स्वर्ग कहा जाता है। इसकी सुंदरता हर मौसम में ही बहुत मनोरम लगती हैं। गर्मीयों में सब तरफ हरियाली होती है और सर्दियों में सब कुछ बर्फ से ढका होता है। सेबों पर लटक रहे लाल लाल सेब बहुत ही सुंदर लगते हैं। कश्मीर में देखने के लिए बहुत से पर्यटक स्थल है जैसे गुलमार्ग, सोनमार्ग आदि। गुलमार्ग को कश्मीर की जान कहा जाता है। वुल्लर जैसे सरोवर कश्मीर की सुंदरता में चार चाँद लगा देते हैं।

काम-कश्मीर हिमालय की पर्वतमालाओं में बसा हुआ है। इसे ती का स्वर्ग’ भी कहा जाता है। जम्मू-कश्मीर से कई देशों की सीमाएँ लगी हुई हैं। उत्तर-पूर्व में चीन, दक्षिण में हिमाचल प्रदेश और पंजाब तथा पश्चिम एवं उत्तर-पश्चिम में पाकिस्तान द्वारा अधिकृत आजाद कश्मीर से जम्मू-कश्मीर की सीमा सटी हुई है।

जम्मू-कश्मीर के तीन प्रमुख क्षेत्र हैं-जम्मू, कश्मीर घाटी तथा लद्दाख। कश्मीर की ग्रीष्मकालीन राजधानी श्रीनगर तथा शीतकालीन राजधानी जम्मू है जबकि कश्मीर घाटी ‘पृथ्वी के स्वर्ग’ के रूप में विश्व भर में सुविख्यात है। इसके अलावा कश्मीर पहाड़ों के अद्भुत, आकर्षक और मनोहारी प्राकृतिक दृश्यों के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है।

पहाड़ों में स्थित जम्मू के मंदिर एवं मस्जिद भी दर्शनीय पर्यटन-स्थल हैं। इन्हें देखने प्रति वर्ष हजारों पर्यटक आते हैं। लद्दाख, जो ‘छोटा तिब्बत’ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है, अपने बेमिसाल सुंदर पहाड़ों एवं बौद्ध संस्कार के लिए सुविख्यात है।

हिन्दू ग्रंथों के अनुसार, एक बार ऋषि कश्यप ने बारामूला के नज़दीक पहाड़ को काटकर बनाई गई पीर पंजाल पर्वत श्रेणी की एक झील को सुखा दिया और फिर उस घाटी में भारत के लोगों को बसा के लिए प्रेरित किया। इस प्रकार इस घाटी का नाम कश्मीर घाटी पर गया।

कश्मीर सर्वप्रथम मौर्य एवं कुषाण साम्राज्य में स्थापित हुआ था। तत्पश्चात् 8वीं सदी में हिन्दू वीर योद्धा ललितादित्य मुक्तापिदा ने कश्मीर पर शासन किया था। उसके बाद 12वीं शताब्दी में मुसलमानों की तर्किश सेना ने कश्मीर पर आक्रमण किया। फिर सन् 1322 में जुल्कादुर खान ने इस पर पूर्णतः अपना अधिकार कर लिया। इस प्रकार एक के बाद एक कश्मीर पर आक्रमण और शासन किया जाता रहा।

कश्मीर को ‘धरती के स्वर्ग’ की संज्ञा दी गई है इसलिए हर कोई शासक कश्मीर पर शासन करना चाहता था। यहाँ की डल झील विश्व-प्रसिद्ध है। इसमें हाऊस-बोट होते हैं जिन्हें शिकारा कहते हैं। पर्यटक इसमें बैठकर डल झील की सैर करते हैं और इसी में वे रहते भी हैं। सर्दियों में ये झील पूर्ण रूप से जम जाती है और इस पर बच्चे क्रिकेट खेलते हैं।

कश्मीर में शालीमार गार्डन है जिसे मुगल सम्राट जहाँगीर ने बनवाया था। यहाँ गुलमर्ग है जो घने जंगलों से घिरा हुआ है तथा यहाँ सुंदर व मनमोहक फूलों के बाग हैं। पटनीटॉप है, जो अक्सर बर्फ से ढका रहता है। इसे हिल-रिज़ॉर्ट (पहाड़ी सैरगाह) कहते हैं। पहलगाम है जहा अमरनाथ यात्रियों के लिए कैंप बनाए जाते हैं। सोनमर्ग है जो श्रीनगर जिले में है। यहाँ पर तीन झीलें हैं-किशेनसर, बिशेनसर और गंगबाल।

अलावा श्रीनगर से 11 कि.मी. की दूरी पर निशात गार्डन है। यह सील के किनारे पर है। जम्मू में वैष्णो देवी का मंदिर है जो जमीन से 10-12 किलोमीटर ऊपर स्थित है।

सभी पर्यटन स्थलों को देखने जम्मू कश्मीर में हजारों पर्यटक दिन आते हैं और प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य का अद्भुत एवं स्वर्गीय आनन्द लेते हैं। जब सर्दी के महीनों में यहाँ आकाश से बर्फ बरसती है, तो यह दश्य बहुत सुंदर और मनोहारी होता है। उस समय बर्फबारी का यह दृश्य देखने हजारों पर्यटक आते हैं। तब पूरा कश्मीर बर्फ की सफेद चादर से ढक जाता है। यह दृश्य अत्यंत सुंदर और मनोरम होता है जो व्यक्ति यह दृश्य देखता है, वह यही कहता है-“कश्मीर धरती का स्वर्ग है।”

सैर-सपाटे के शौकीन हर व्यक्ति की यह दिली ख्वाहिश होती है कि वह जीवन में कम से कम एक बार कश्मीर जरूर जाए। कश्मीर को धरती का स्वर्ग जो कहते हैं। माना जाता है कि इसका असली नाम कश्यपमर यानी कछुओं की झील था। इसी से बाद में यह कश्मीर नाम से जाना जाने लगा। कल्हण की राजतरंगिणी में कश्मीर का विस्तृत उल्लेख मिलता है।

यहाँ के बर्फीले मौसम को देखते हुए सर्दी और गर्मी के मौसम में क्रमशः श्रीनगर और जम्मू को यहाँ की राजधानी बनाते हैं। श्रीनगर और उसके आसपास के क्षेत्र पर्यटन के लिहाज़ से बहुत खूबसूरत हैं। डल झील यहाँ का प्रमुख आकर्षण है। सैलानी घंटों इसके किनारे घूमते हैं या शिकारे में बैठकर नौका विहार का आनंद लेते हैं। तैरते आवास यानी हाउसबोट, तैरते बाजार और तैरते वेजीटेबल गार्डन इसकी खासियत हैं। कुछ दूर अनंतनाग जिले में अमरनाथ गुफा है, जहाँ हजारों की संख्या में तीर्थयात्री जाते हैं। मुस्लिम सूफी संत शेख नूरुद्दीन वली की दरगाह चरार-ए-शरीफ भी श्रीनगर से ज्यादा दूर नहीं है। मुगल बादशाह कश्मीर के प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य से बहुत प्रभावित हुए थे। उन्होंने यहाँ बहुत-से उद्यान बनवाए, जिन्हें मुगल उद्यान कहा जाता है। उन्हें देखे बिना श्रीनगर की यात्रा अधूरी है। शाहजहाँ द्वारा बनवाया गया चश्म-ए-शाही इनमें सबसे छोटा है। निशात बाग 1633 में नूरजहाँ के भाई ने और शालीमार बाग जहाँगीर ने अपनी बेगम नूरजहाँ के लिए बनवाया था। इन बगीचों में चनार के अलावा और भी कई छायादार पेड़ हैं। रंग-बिरंगे फूलों और झरनों वाले ये बगीचे अलग ही सुकून देते हैं।

श्रीनगर के अलावा अधिकतर सैलानी गुलमर्ग, सोनमर्ग और पहलगाम भी जाना पसंद करते हैं। गुलमर्ग का अर्थ है – फूलों का मैदान। नाम से ही इसकी खूबसूरती का अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है। यहाँ विश्व का सबसे ऊँचा गोल्फकोर्स है। सर्दियों में जब यहाँ बर्फ की मोटी चादर बिछ जाती है, तब स्कीइंग के शौकीन लोग उसका भरपूर आनंद उठाते हैं। सोनमर्ग भी बेहद खूबसूरत है। सिंध नदी के दोनों ओर फैले यहाँ के मैदान सोने जैसे चमकते हैं, इसलिए इसे सोनमर्ग कहा जाता है। अमरनाथ यात्रा का एक रास्ता सोनमर्ग से बालटाल होकर भी जाता है। एक बार जो कश्मीर चला जाता है, वो वहाँ की यादें उम्रभर सँजोकर रखना चाहता है।

कश्मीर हमारे देश के उत्तर में स्थित राज्य है। यह झीलों, बागों और झरनों का प्रदेश है। प्राकृतिक रूप से यह इतना खूबसूरत है कि इसे भारतमाता का मुकुट कहा जाता है। मुगल बादशाह जहाँगीर की रानी नूरजहाँ ने तो यहाँ के प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य को देखकर कहा कि धरती पर यदि स्वर्ग है तो यहीं है।

कश्मीर की राजधानी श्रीनगर है। यह नगर झेलम नदी के दोनों तटों पर बसा हैं। झेलम नदी को पार करने के लिए नौ पुल बने हैं, नदी के दोनों ओर हाउसबोटों की पंक्तियाँ दूर-दूर तक दिखाई देती हैं। हाउसबोट पानी पर तैरता हुआ मकान होता है जिसमें बैठक, सोने का कमरा, खाना खाने का कमरा और नहाने का कमरा होता है। बाहर से आने वाले बहुत-से लोग हाउसबोटों में रहते हैं। रात के समय हाउसबोटों में सैकड़ों बत्तियाँ जलती रहती हैं। नदी की लहरों में इनकी जगमग-जगमग करती परछाइयाँ मन को मुग्ध कर देती हैं।

डल झील में चार चिनार नामक टापू पर चार वृक्ष हैं। ये वृक्ष डल झील की सुंदरता को दुगुना कर देते हैं।

डल झील के पास ही निशांत और शालीमार नामक दो सुंदर बाग हैं। ये बाग जहाँगीर द्वारा लगवाए गए थे। ये बाग अपनी नैसर्गिक सुंदरता से लोगों का मन मोह लेते हैं। इनमें झर-झर बहते हुए सीढ़ियोंदार झरनों और फव्वारों की शोभा देखते ही बनती है। इनमें चिनार के ऊँचे-ऊँचे वृक्ष, मखमली घास और रंग-बिरंगे फूल हैं। | कश्मीर में पहलगाँव, सोनबर्ग, चश्माशाही, गुलमोहर पार्क आदि दर्शनीय स्थल भी हैं जो अपनी सुंदरता से लोगों के मन को लुभाते हैं। पहलगाँव में नदी का कल-कल स्वर संगीत के समान कानों को बहुत भाता है। यहाँ कश्मीरी कारीगरी का बहुत अच्छा सामान मिलता है। यात्री ट्राली में बैठकर गुलमोहर पार्क में पहाड़ के ऊपर जाते हैं और पहाड़ों का नजारा देखकर प्रसन्न होते हैं। सर्दियों में जब गुलमर्ग पार्क में बर्फ जम जाती है तब लोग यहाँ स्केटिंग का आनंद भी उठाते हैं।

कश्मीर ठंडा प्रदेश है। यहाँ कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ती है। जाड़े से बचने के लिए हर आदमी अपने हाथ में एक विशेष प्रकार की अँगीठी लेकर चलता है जिसे ‘कांगड़ी’ कहते हैं।

पहलगाँव और गुलमर्ग से ही अमरनाथ गुफ़ा जाने का रास्ता है। देश के कोने-कोने से लोग अमरनाथ की यात्रा पर जाते हैं। यहाँ का रास्ता बर्फ से ढके हुए ऊँचे पहाड़ों से होकर जाता है।

कश्मीर में अखरोट, खूबानी, सेब, बादाम, चैरी आदि फलों से लदे पेड़ दिखाई देते हैं। यहाँ केसर की खेती भी होती है जिसकी सुगंध से घाटी महकती रहती है। कश्मीर को पृथ्वी का स्वर्ग कहना उचित ही है।

कश्मीर भारत का एक अभिन्न अंग है; लेकिन मुस्लिम जनसंख्या की प्रधानता होने को आधार मानकर पाकिस्तान इसे अपने साथ मिलाना चाहता हैं। कश्मीर पर अधिकार करने के इरादे से पाकिस्तान ने 1948 में कश्मीर पर आक्रमण कर दिया। परंतु भारत के अन्य राज्यों के शासकों की भाँति कश्मीर के तत्कालीन महाराजा, हरि सिंह ने भारत का पक्ष स्वीकार किया। कश्मीर घाटी की रक्षा के लिए भारतीय सेनाएं बड़ी बहादुरी से लड़ीं और पाकिस्तान को युद्ध विराम के लिए बाध्य होना पड़ा। परिणामस्वरूप, यथापूर्व स्थिति के अनुसार कश्मीर के पश्चिमी और उत्तरी भागों पर पाकिस्तान का अवैधानिक नियंत्रण कायम रहा। पाकिस्तान द्वारा असंवैधनिक रूप से अधिकृत कश्मीर का क्षेत्रफल लगभग तीन लाख वर्ग किमी। है।

सन् 1965 में, पाकिस्तान ने भारत पर दुबारा आक्रमण कर दिया। लेकिन भारतीय सेनाओं ने बड़ी बहादुरी से इस चुनौती का सामना किया और अंतत: पाकिस्तान बुरी तरह परजित हुआ। जिसके फलस्वरूप पाकिस्तान को ताशकंद समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने के लिए बाध्य होना पड़ा। ताशकंद समझौते के अनुसार, दोनों देश कश्मीर समस्या को द्विपक्षीय वार्ता के माध्यम से शांतिपूर्वक हल करने पर सहमत हुए। लेकिन 1971 में, पाकिस्तान ने पुन: भारत पर आकर्मण कर दिया और इस प्रकार दोनों देशों के बीच एक और युद्ध लड़ा गया। इस युद्ध में भी पाकिस्तान को पराजय का मुंह देखना पडा, और पाकिस्तान से अलग होकर बंग्लादेश एक सवतंत्र गणराज्य के रूप में उभरकर सामने आया। युद्ध की समाप्ति के बाद शिमला समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। इस समझौते के अनुसार कश्मीर समस्या को द्विपक्षीय वार्ता द्वारा हल किया जाना चाहिए। समझौते में कश्मीर समस्या से संबंधित मामले को निपटाने में किसी तीसरे पक्ष की मध्यस्थता को स्वीकर नहीं किया गया है।

लेकिन दुर्भाग्य, पाकिस्तान किसी भी समझौते की कोई बात न मानते हुए कश्मीर मसले का अंतर्राष्ट्रीयकरण करने की फिराक में ही रहा है। कश्मीर घाटी में पाकिस्तान–प्रायोजित आतंकवाद, हिंसा एवं उग्रवाद ने दोनों देशों के बीच संबंधों को बदतर बनाया है। वास्तव में पाकिस्तान की इस प्रकार की गतिविधियों ने भारत और पाकिस्तान की बीच गहरी खाई का निर्माण किया है।

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानदण्डों एवं ऐतिहासिक तथ्यों को झुठलाता हुआ, पाकिस्तान कश्मीर मामले को विभाजन के समय का एक अपूर्ण एजेंडा बताता है और इसे प्राप्त करने के लिए वह कश्मीर में लगातार आतंकवादी गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देता रहा है। यद्यपि भारत की ओर से दोनों देशों के बीच के बिगड़े हुए संबंधों को सुधारने के कई बार प्रयास किए गए तथापि पाकिस्तान ने उसकी पहल को कभी गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, और न ही कभी ऐसे प्रयासों में दिलचस्पी ली। पिछले तीन युद्धों में करारी हार का मुँह देखने के बावजूद भी पाकिस्तान ने कभी इसके कारणों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया, बल्कि वह तो लगातार दोनों देशों के बीच तनाव को भारत के धैर्य की सीमा तक बढ़ाने का प्रयास कर रहा है। आजादी एवं मुस्लिम भाई-चारे की दुहाई देता हुआ पाकिस्तान कश्मीर के लोगों को गुमराह करने का प्रयास कर रहा है।

पाकिस्तान की सीमा के साथ संलग्न होने और मुस्लिम बाहुल्य क्षेत्र होने को आधार मानकर पाकिस्तान द्वारा कश्मीर की मांग कदापि तर्कसंगत नहीं है। वास्तविकता तो यह है कि इस मामले में पाकिस्तान को पर्याप्त सैनिक सहायता का आश्वासन प्राप्त है।

इन परिस्थितियों में यह समस्या और भी जटिल हो गई है। वर्तमान परिस्थितियों से लगता है कि विभाजन के समय धर्म के आधार भारत और पाकिस्तान के रूप में विभाजन उचित नहीं था।

जम्मू और कश्मीर के पारंपरिक कपड़े अच्छी तरह से अपनी कढ़ाई और जटिल डिजाइन के लिए जाने जाते हैं, जो क्षेत्र की संस्कृति और परिदृश्य की समृद्धि को दर्शाते हैं। उनके कपड़े क्षेत्र की ठंडी जलवायु का मुकाबला करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं। अधिकांश वस्त्र ऊन, रेशम और कपास से बने होते हैं जिन्हें जटिल कढ़ाई के साथ डिजाइन किया जाता है।

Right from its picturesque mountains, dense forests, green meadows, gushing rivers, and lakes to its warm and hospitable people- everything about Kashmir is supremely beautiful.

From being the royal retreat of the Mughals to being high-up on every traveller’s list, the beauty of Kashmir has stood in its magnificent glory even in the most uncertain times.

Essay on Kashmir for Students: Kashmir is a region situated between India and Pakistan in South Asia. It is believed that the name Kashmir originated from the word ‘Ka’ which means water, and ‘shimera’ to desiccate.

The story of Kashmir is complex and has historical, cultural, and political dimensions. Over the years, many rulers and empires, like the Mauryas , Kushans , and Mughals have influenced the paradise of the Earth. The region especially had the special influence of Mauryan ruler Ashoka who contributed to the cultural as well as the architectural heritage of the region.

Cultural Diversity of Kashmir

Kashmir is a region that has a rich history and ancient roots. The place has witnessed the rise and fall of many dynasties, such as the Mauryas , Kushnas , and Guptas . On top of that, these dynasties contributed to the cultural and geographic location of Kashmir, which includes the influence of the Silk Road and the blend of Hindu, Buddhist, and later Islamic influences.

Kashmir Issue

The dispute related to the sharing of borders didn’t stop after Independence. Whether it was India, Pakistan, or China, tensions related to the disputes of the region always created a heat of fire between the countries that led to wars. The list of some important wars are as follows:

1. First Indo-Pak War (1947-1948) : Fought for Jammu Kashmir shortly after India’s independence.

2. Sino-Indian War (1962): A conflict between India and China for the territorial region Aksai Chin.

3. The War of (1965): Fought mainly over Kashmir.

4. Kargil War (1999): A conflict between India and Pakistan in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Article 370 Scrapped

Geographically, Kashmir lies in the northwestern region of the Indian continent. Its total area is around 225,000 square kilometers, which is comparatively larger than the member countries of the United States.

Out of the total area, 85,800 square kilometers have been subject to dispute between India and Pakistan since 1947. It is important to note that the areas with conflict consist of major portions called the Northern, Southern, and Southeastern portions. The 30 percent of the northern part comprises Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and is administered by Pakistan.

India controls the portion which is more than 55 percent of the area of the land. The area consists of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley, and Siachen Glacier which is located in the southern and southeastern portions of India. The area is divided by a line of control and has been under conflict since 1972.
